The next weekend up at Buxton Raceway is March 8th & 9th. It's a tenner to get in, still a tenner to be a passenger per day, and £20 to drive per day. That's driver and additional driver. This event is at Buxton raceway, about 3 miles from Buxton town at SK17 0RR. The timetable will be something like this: Friday night - camping available. Depending on numbers the bar may be open. Saturday. Drift practice from 9 am. We will run a Team drift event from around 4pm if there are enough people there. Don't worry if you're coming on your own and want to enter, you'll soon make some friends here. The team comps at the last few events were amazing! Drift One, Buxton 01/09/12 - Team Competition - YouTube There will be a tyre van, £5 per rim to change tyres. C&J Tyres will be in attendance and I'm sure Gary will keep an eye on this thread so post up if you want him to bring tyres for you. Practice sessions are tailored to drivers ability. If you are new and want to go out alone that's fine, let us know. If you're with a mate and want to practice twinning then queue up together and let the gate men know. You'll see the regular guys going out in huge trains, I've seen 14 or more, quite something. Saturday night. Bar open until late. Mayhem and daft games all night. Camping free. There are good clean toilet facilities for a wash in the morning but no showers or hot water. Sunday. Circuit opens at 9 for practice. Then at 3 we'll have the ODC competition. This will be on a different track layout to whatever practice track we've had and is open to everyone. The format is a new one, I'll explain on the day. There should be an hour's practice afterwards if you aren't competing, but no guarantee. There's a burger van on site and a bar open. Anyone thought to be drinking and drifting will be breathylised. (Never had to do it yet!) £10 per day to get in for every adult. £20 to put your car on track (per day), and £10 to be a passenger. Kids get in free. Passenger rides available. Please read the timetable above and understand what you are coming to. Also the competition is open to EVERYONE so don't worry about your level of ability, you're welcome to have a go. I don't bother with lists. If you are coming then come. If not then don't. We'll be there whatever. Can't wait
FINALLY! I have a working beemer and buxton is back on! I'll be there with a car or some sort, Can't wait. Brad =)
Coool. Almost enough to make a man buy a tax disk. Hoping there is likely one of these next month as mine is sorn this month.
Cant wait now for the weekend. Almost everything is ready for us which compared to last year of building a new car the week of the event is rare for us! Cant wait to stretch the legs of the V8 round buxton a bit
I'll be there for some birthday slipwheels on Saturday with Alex and Luke - will do the Sunday as well if I have tyres left/car is still alive. Will the tyre van have some supplies with them? Just going to stick with 15s and make it a cheap weekend.
Eeek. Less than 48 hours till we'll be skidding in the hills. I am very much excited Also can't wait to see what mods people have made to their cars sines last year x
That's Bloody Brilliant Dave. Can't wait to see it. You modded the engine at all. What was it last time??
Can someone who was working the event yesterday please have a read of the first post? I was told on arrival that it was £20 per driver, no matter if you were sharing or not. This clearly states £20 gets you the primary driver and a second one at no additional cost.
