Make: Honda Model: S2000 Year: 2003 Mileage: 91300 Tax/Test: tax due end of Jan, MoT April Price £4900 ono Location Somerset I have owned the car since late summer last year, and had great fun in the car. It's been 100% reliable but gets little use. I bought it to tour northern Europe last year and since then remained a very local car. Almost newToyo R1R on the rear and Yokohama Advan AD08 on the front. These are the only tyres available that perform to the correct level. The tread on the tyres are almost new. I had the alignment checked and set to the revised settings specified in the update by Honda UK. I replaced the front disks and pads shortly after. I then had a main dealer service performed to maintain the full Honda main dealer service history. The service was only 1k ago. The car is currently 91300 The roof condition is good and the overall condition of the car is good, there are a few marks as you would expect from a car that's 10 years old with below average millage. There is no rust anywhere on the car. The car has a whine from the gearbox. Car is available to view weekends and evenings.
some people have asked more about the gearbox. There is a whine, all gears engage as they should, it comes in about 40 and goes by 65. there are no crunches, it doesn't jump out of gear. the box works as it should. It has not got any worse during my ownership. Other than this the car is a very good example. As such, I have discounted the car by the price of a replacement gearbox. £5200
Just for some help on the gearbox thingy mate. It is common on all AP1's to have the gearbox noise. Nothing wrong with them just noisy. Something to do with brass fittings on the synchro's wearing the AP2 had carbon fibre ones fitted but that was purely to stop noise.
Thanks for that, the gearbox works perfectly so that would make sense. the car is in excellent order. When I went to tax today I found out the MOT is out so it will have 12 months MOT on Monday.
