Think it might be Matty W.. though I don't know if he's on here or not. If he is I don't know his username, it might not even be him haha.
It must be close to its weight? What can they tow 2ton? Clio sports 1.3 plus the trailer. (500/750kg?)
Hi the chaser weighs 1500 (somehow) Trailer weights 350 Clio weights 1300 Gross train is 4300 I make that underweight I wouldn't tow overweight, it's just not worth my licence
You are towing more than 100%nof the weight of the tow vehicle with a car that prob does not have a max train weight of 3.5tonnes being a import, I may be wrong, but I wouldn't want to get pulled by vosa with it
You are wrong, the weight of the tow vehicle doesn't have anything to do with the train weight as only 10% of the towed weight is on the hitch. The weight of the load is supported by the axles Of the trailer and obviously the trailer will have to braked. The fact that the car is an import has nothing to do with it.
It's just that if a vehicle does not have max train weight on the vin plate it should not be used for towing and most jdm cars did not have that stamped on the vin
According to Renault they're 1334kg but I've seen other lower figures quoted Edit - http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curb_weight This might be why the difference.
Clio 182s don't weigh anything like 1300kg, where does Renault say that? That's more like the weight of a Laguna.
Sorry no your right V6 is 1334 and 182 is 1100. I do wonder how they truthful all they're weights are tho, especially with vans ect. When a big selling point is payload.
I thought this was 100% correct also as a trailer test center told me you can only pull a combined weight that does not exceed 85% of the tow car mass. Stopping people towing their massive caravan with a corsa
