When fitting E46 control arms to a E36, what tie rods do you need inner/outer ??

depends on the state of your hubs.

On stock hubs you want e92 inners and e36 outers. Some cutting and threading is required. They're m14 is i remember correctly.

If you run modded hubs you can get away with e36 inners and outers.

Use your head and make sure you have a decent amount of thread engagement

you dont... the e36 drop links connect to the arm but on e46 they connect onto hub, so if you run e46 arms you will have to remove anti roll bar like most people or make your own way of bolting it through the e46 arm if you really want to keep it
