Currently got a welded diff in my s13 and I have no problems at all with it but now the misses wants to use it as a daily and the only bit she can't get on with is the welder so I'm thinking (money permitting) of changing to a LSD or 2 way but don't really know so can any one advise please

R33 GTR non vspec diff with matching drive shafts and hubs, well that's to fit s14's, don't know if drive shaft length will fit s13.
That lot will cost similer money to most other used LSD but will be silent on the road with the right oil and still be awesome on track too.

When she can drive a MX5 properly, then maybe the "It's for girls" Comment may actually not sound a lot less gay. If anything, jumping straight into a sorted s13 is being more of a cop out. This is how you drive one.

    From here :- http://www.driftworks.com/forum/dri...979-seaside-alliance-300-daily-missile-5.html
Until that day, the "it's for girls" Arguement is invalid. Do something well, or don't bother:smash:

Anyway, it's your car dude! Moaning about driving someone else's car that's set up for drifting, but wanting to use is as a practice car at the same time is retarded. She wants you to put petrol in it as well i suppose :/

    This.

If she wants to get into drifting, why is she whinging about a welder? I've daily driven a welder for over 2 years and it's never caused any issues.

Tell her to stop being a little bitch.

My GF drives my car with the welder no problem ! What doesn't she like about it ?
as a 2 way will behave pretty much the same as a welder but with a bit less clunking

the R32 gtst has a viscous LSD, I know someone said they can be unpredictable but I never really had any problems with mine, you could always shim it so that it locks up a bit better for when you want to drive it

Stop giving alternate answers to what the dude is asking about. Why even bother posting.

A quiet diff like a Kaaz Super-Q, or a Nismo.
    Stock LSD (viscous) are shite.
