SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD

Reluctantly selling my E36 BMW 328i Sport that I've owned since December 2011. It's mainly been used on the road, but I bought it to do drifting in too. I'm not able to go as often as I would like due to other commitments (once every 2 or 3 months), so can't justify the road running/maintenance costs any more. Has been an awesome fun car though. Ideal track car, or just needs a couple of hundred spent on it for it's next MOT.

    BMW 328i Sport e36
    P reg, 1996.
    119,534 miles
    Tax 30th June
MOT 23rd June (although have put it in a month early to see what it fails on, see bad bits below).
    HellRot red.
Lowered 40mm up front and 60mm at rear by previous owner
325 welded diff fitted to replace the weak LSD (acceleration is much quicker!)- still have LSD though
Hydraulic handbrake fitted around the centre console so that interior could be kept in for daily use.
    M sport body kit
    Polybushes on rear trailing arms
17" M sport wheels all round (pics show my drift rear wheels I put on because the tyres on them have some tread-M sport wheels will be supplied though)
    Located in Northampton
    £600

    Part replaced in my ownership:
    Air intake pipe (was split)
    Rear dampers
    Polybushes on rear trailing arms
subframe with reinforced engine mount holes
    engine mounts
    speed sensors on rear wheels
    wishbone and drop links
    cooling fan blades
    thermostat and housing
    alternator
Auxiliary belt and belt tensioner pulley
    Rear discs and pads
    battery
    bled brakes when hydro fitted
    ball joints
Probably other bits that I've forgotten about

    Good bits:
Engine, gearbox and clutch is sound
Plenty of power for drifting, very quick car
Full size spare in boot plus 2 16" wheels for drift use
Interior still all fitted (apart from some of the boot carpets, but I still have these)
    Low mileage for age.

    Bad bits:
I put it through it's MOT a month early to see what it fails on, but it still has MOT until 23rd June so can be driven away. It failed on the following (also see pic of MOT sheet):
    FAIL:
A few blown / discoloured bulbs
Rust on passenger side sill, a few holes were poked in it
    offside rear coil broken
nearside front lamp cracked reduces light output
    2 tyres illegal
    ADVISORY:
    Rear number plate deteriorated
    Sill corrosion
    2 tyres

The standard handbrake is weak too, although didn't fail the MOT. I just leave it gear when parked on a hill and use the hydro for hill starts. Hydro locks up well when drifting.
Some trim is missing on side of car- lost when pulled off by cones up the track.
    Rear arches have rust bubbling.
Broken Fog light- Wasn't mentioned in MOT
Stereo will likely be removed for my new car

I got a quote for the welding- £100
Tyres could be bought part worn - £100 for 4
Second hand lamp on eBay / driftworks, £20
Bulbs £5 from euro car parts
    £50-£100 for coils
So could be fixed up for as little as £275, I just don't have the time or space (I live in a flat now so car is parked on street).

I have pics. But I can't work out how to post them. If someone could advise me how to, I will. Alternatively, I can email them to anyone who is interested.

Just a FYI - if it has failed an MOT then the old test is no longer valid.

That is incorrect. I have just spoke to the MOT centre and they have confirmed that the MOT is valid until 23rd June. Obviously it may be seen as unsafe for the road if it were to get pulled over in it's current state (if they could see it was unsafe, unlikely), but if the new owner has bought it and driving it home / to a garage to get fixed up, then that's not a problem either. Besides, it drives fine anyway, so there should be no reason to get pulled over. Obviously it's the new owners responsibility to make the car "roadworthy" again even though it still has a valid MOT.

Sorry to put a downer on this but:

An MOT certificate is valid until its expiry date. However if your vehicle fails a test before this date and you do not rectify the defects then you are driving an unroadworthy vehicle which is an offence.
However, once the problem(s) is rectified, then the original MOT certificate is still valid and you do not need to have the car retested.

    Bargain of a car though!

    Brad =)

Bump - Still available. £700 comes with LSD and welded diff (welder fitted, but I'll chuck LSD in the boot), £600 without LSD.

My number is 07746329854. Give me a bell to discuss, if I don't answer, leave a message and I'll get back to you. I can't answer my phone at work and I got a few things on tonight.
