The last few months iv just been taking the car out for a few late night missions and drives out in the country. For not having a wheel alignment the thing drove pretty damn well, but I have recently fitted some Partshop max solid rear subframe bushes and got it a decent wheel alignment Now the first problem, something had to happen eventualy.. The gearbox is in desperate need of some new bearings. Im planning on taking it to powercruise at Taupo motosport park in November, so im borrowing a gearbox of a mate and spending the next montho or so getting the car 100% ready for the track. Helped assembly a friends RB27dett on the weekend.
Finally took the R32 to an event, PowerCruise #45 at Taupo motorsport park. I had a Great time and cant wait to for the next one with more power! This is a video from first thing in the morning I have a better one ill upload to. My mates RB27 and LS1 v8 Cefiro's My mate nicks GTR with full HKS T04z kit
Alrite its been a while.... a long while... so ill try make this atleast a half decent post. So far the R32 has survived another event so ill share that with everyone, a totally awesome day out drifting with the Zokusha Worx family. Well the morning didn't start so great, just driving the car to line up the engine didn't feel or sound right. Out on the track it was cutting out, feeling underpowerd and pretty much just driving me crazy. I spent most of the morning trying to fix it tighting up everything checking every sensor and connection, in the end it seems it was the main ECU connector that needed a slight tweak and by about 11:30 it was all go and I could start getting some decent drifting in. The track was Taupo Track 3 the back section of Taupo Motorsport park.
Next I plan on going to powercruise in November, that's if I get the car all sorted. The next mission is to remove the standard injectors and fot some 7500cc's I have lined up and finally open up the wastegate ports inside the exhaust manifold and fix the boost creep problem, the goal is 300kw (402hp) A few things out of shape after trackday.. Removing the exhaust manifold and giving it to a mate to sort Also purchased a new vehicle with a little more grunt than the hilux to tow the skyline. 4.2 Diesel manual 116,000kms
You getting a garage for Powercruise? Makes it twice as enjoyable, but is an extra $200ish dollars though. Is a fun event if the rain stays away for sure. IIRC i never won an impromptu heads-up race but still enjoyed myself heaps! Pitted with the Green Brothers guys and their drag wagon. Real good dudes. What gearbox was in it?
Hey mate nah not this year, I was planning on it but as far as I know they are going to cost a lot more than last year and also you can no longer eat, sleep or drink in the garages or stay at the track so there isn't much point.
Also I spent a lot of time over the last 6 months building a new setup for the old mans car. started off with 1 new exhaust manifold from Sinco Customs A Turbonetics Turbo and tial 44mm wastegate And got to work And with Mike from Diesel & turbocharger services tuning the nistune ecu we stopped at 14psi with it droping off to 11psi until I sort the boost issue, but we still have a very responsive and fast 256kw (350hp) at the wheels.
Another good day was a park up meet just a couple months back at the end of summer in our home town that me and the rest of the Zokusha Worx crew attended, first some pics of our cars then some other nice cars that were there.
I love four door r32's! Definitely nicer than two doors! Keep it up man, nice to see your still committed after so long! Also what are the wheels on that white 31? They're fucking badass
Haha cheers man I still have lotts of things I still want to do to this thing. Ill get some specs on those wheels for you.
