hought I'd get myself over to Driftworks for a bit of banter and see what you guys think of this.
I'm not a purest so have no problems in moving things about to make a better car (2jz in a R33 would be ideal, but no time for that).

    History.

Well I had a little babay R33 GTS Spec 2 running 400BHP and did the odd track day and tried to do some drifting (not that good, but got the basics). I really enjoy track more though.

The shell was getting very very tatty and when stripping down the subframe to solid bush it found the mounting points starting to disintegrate. My friend just happened to be breaking a R33 GTR so My idea was to swap all the GTS bits over to it and create a GTRS (later changed to GTSR because I found a badge that suited) It wasn't as easy as I first though, there is quite a lot that isn't inter-changeable especially the front due to the chassis rails of the GTR being different to allow the front drive shafts through. So I'm using the GTS rear sub-frame (as it was already powder coated and bushed) and GTR front subframe/steering rack.

Rough spec is as follows (from memory):-

GTR ShellGTS Rear Subframe - Solid Bushes - Driftworks lockout kit.Whiteline Arbs.
GTS Spec 2 Shimmed diff 1.9mm total shim 1.1+ 0.8 (spec 2 seem to have a 1.1mm shim already where as spec 1's have 0.8)
Fully Forged RB25 engine, solid lifter converted with high lift cams, balanced, N1 oil pump.
    GT3582
    Blitz Nur spec
Fully stripped, Air con and heater matrix deleted (added small copper core to de-mist the windows)
    Caged - with added supports
Alloy rad with 2 x 12" kenlowe fans, renvotec controller (viscous removed)
Greddy inlet with 80mm throttle body.
    Link G4+ with knock enabled.
GTR BC Coilovers with bottoms changed to fit GTS subframe
Big brake conversion, not bought new pads yet.
Methanol injection kit with custom made beer keg for tank Dual Bosch 044 pumps with swirl pot and fuel cooler
    2 sets of:-
    Rota GTR-D 12J rears Rota GTR-D 10J fronts

1 with 300 and 270 slicks from Porche Cup
    1 with 315 and 285 888's

    Carbon boot with BGW
Front is original GTR I was going to use a modified spec 2 GTS front end with wider wings, but after getting front wings that would even come close to fitting I just bought the front end off my mate.

Plus loads of other little bits and pieces that you always forget and have to spend ££££ on , nuts, washers, gaskets, sensors etc etc

Hoping to get 600 to 650BHP I'm really waiting on the head work to complete and my FMIC before I can get it in to be mapped.

Will grab pictures and spec when I can.

    Any input greatly received.

    CheersStu

You can box in the front chassis rails and fit a gtst x member if you are so inclined. GTR spider x member does restrict the amount of lock you can run.

That was an idea. I did cut the front off my GTS and compare them to the GTR, but the GTR rails are huge so after boxing in they would be massive and drop the subframe too low. Was even looking at unpicking the rail and remaking it, but that would have made it too weak.

I'll have too only drift this for a bit of fun and use it for track.
