1998 B5 S4 avant - MOT until 25 September 2015 - 145k miles (won't rise much, only done 2230 miles since last mot and is not in daily use) all engine work carried out at 71k, recent RR printout from 5k miles ago shows the engine is still running strong. there is a receipt for the engine work totalling £8,000 - Currently fitted with a full set of winter/snow tyres (perfect timing for winter coming) Essentially this is an RS4 for around a third of the money and I'm currently unable to find another a car with a comparable spec/condition available for sale right now. It is a solid example which needs nothing but a little tlc to get it pretty much perfect. The front wings are both starting to rust where they were rolled by the previous owner and the offside rear arch is showing signs of rust as well. The rear bumper could do with a little attention and there are other age related marks such as chips and so on as you would expect on a 16+ year old car but on the whole it is in very good condition. I have had various issues sorted with the car in my ownership such as a coolant leak, burst exhaust, new air mass meter, new clutch slave cylinder, wiper blades (these proved to be a particular pain in the ass), rear suspension drop links, front straight arms and an oil and plug change not long after I got it. There are other things done with reciepts to prove (apart from repair to exhaust) and a folder with a good portion of history to go with it. The private plate and bike rack will come with the car along with the majority of the bits needed for a B6 rear brake upgrade and a pair of sports cats in excellent condition. Anyone with a little savvy will realise that if these aren't needed they can be sold to recover money to turn this into a real bargain! I don't have any real need for a car at all and I've had my fun with this one so it is time to move on and try to get some cash together towards a house deposit.
