Basically having massive issues with the conversation. Engine is in, using the m50 loom. The engine is from an auto. Car will crank, but won't start at all. Need help urgent! The car was a 328 m52 manual.

You sorted the EWS? You'll need to bypass it depending on what M50 ECU you have.
What colour and what part number is on the M50 ECU label?

Leave the auto parts of the loom unplugged, including the auto ECU.

The ews in the car will be stopping it starting.
Have a google about how to defeat it.

You need to bypass the EWS that is in your car.
Behind the glove box is where the EWS module sits, there's is a big green/black wire and a big yellow/black wire amongst others going to the module. Cut both and join them together.

You don't need to have the auto ecu plugged in, it might cause problems being plugged in.

I usually cut them incase they back feed the module. When they're cut the module is no longer part of the circuit so can't cause any problems.
Cutting them garuntees no interference form the module.
