Modified rack and shortened steering arms. Not as much lock as S bodies with Geomasters/wisefab etc.. but it is great. There are pics and info in the thread

few video clips at 0:37, 0:50 and cool entry at 1:37.....

Have done a tiny bit more mapping at the weekend on the road. Managed to get the full throttle AFRs much better. It is quite jittery as was struggling for traction over some of the bumps.

338hp/318lb.ft...More to come up top but getting there

Here is a roll on from 2000rpm in 3rd until the limiter in 4th (fully dry tarmac) you can see how savage it is now

And again but after some proper heat in the tyres so less spinning..

Moving house next month so that will take up allot of time. Next thing for the car are a few MOT style jobs and keep using it as much as possible!

Been mega busy over the past month moving house but managed to get out last weekend at one of my personal favourite events of the year; RS Combe. As previous years I got to take part in the drift demos and also get a bit of grip driving in. Combe full circuit is probably the fastest place in the UK you can drift so a great opportunity.

Car was only running 0.5-0.8 bar of boost but was still awesome. In the grip sessions it stayed with pretty much everything and in the drift sessions it was brilliant.

Couple of highlights for me was getting a 5th gear, full throttle flick entry into Avon rise done (which is around 120-130mph), then messing around with some backwards entry attempts at other corners on the circuit. Here is a good one coming into quarry...

Nothing broke and he car was spot on all day. It received record amounts of hate from the Ford purists which is always amusing.

Rear arches / quarters took another pasting due to exploding tyres..

I used it for work on Monday to check it was all driving sweet. Next thing is to start on is developing a new rear axle setup to replace the vulnerable English unit. I still haven't broken a shaft but have worn out quite a few CWPs now and am getting sick of the whining! I am just finalising the bracket designs then will get them laser cut next week. I have no garage facilities at the mo so any work it needs over the next few months will be back on the driveway…

Next event is some more demos, this time at Silverstone for Ford Fair.

Knowing most the Ford saddos these days, for the engine, for actually using the car rather than polishing it and telling everyone how fast it is despite never using it, for drifting, for actually having some driving talent, for pretty much everything.

The english is fine within limits. If your after fitting 15x10" wheels you'd kill it. Best thing is to fit some 3J shafts

It is the CWP that is the issue. Under fast road use/moderate track, they are fine but as soon as you do the big track, fast stuff it just eats itself. This is common accross all of us drifting with English axles. It never actually breaks the gears, just mashes the contact face of the gears giving lots of backlash, therefore whine.

I dont see the point in spending loads of money on posh shafts when the weakest link is the CWP size. I have never broken a standard shaft to this day on this car and have seen lots of people break posh 2 peice items. For the cost of those posh shafts I will have a whole new axle in there that will take the punishment easy peasy ;)

Do you still have the crush spacer? The diffs are much better with a solid spacer.
    Don't forget it's only a small diff, something like 6 or 6 1/2".
I have been looking to find a third member set from another source. Toyota pickups are one and the mx5 also looks possible to build an axle from.

Yep still using a standard style crush spacer and measured preload of the pinion before and after one got toasted and it didn't seem to looose much. The problem just seems to be it munches the crownwheel after proper sustained abuse but as you say, it is only really a diddy thing so is to be expected really. Next axle is a Volvo item and is bigger in every way so should make it bulletproof.

Got the chance to do the drift demos at Ford Fair again this year. As usuall, was great fun having access to the full national circuit. This allowed entry speeds from 120 - 130mph which was great fun. Track had some really horrible slidey bits which must have been some oil or something so there were alot of near misses from everyone but for once everyone survived without breaking their cars!

Couple of pics until GoPro is downloaded...

Just started going through the videos and found this near miss that I forgot about... Changed up into 4th and.... oh shiiiit

Will upload some vids over the next few days. The driving was a bit more on the wild side this year so was pushing the entry speeds and droppig lots of dirt and kerbs! Fastest entry speed was top of 5th so 130mph+ :smokin:
