Right, so i have for sale a very rare and amazing engine. This is possibly the greatest engine ever made, by possibly the greatest engine maker ever. It is an all aluminium 5.0L v12, with quad cams and vvti. It has the same bore and stroke as the 1JZ engine, so is basically two 1JZ engines stuck together. It is only for sale as i am sick of not driving my 'fun' car and just don't have time to fit this engine to it. Don't get me wrong though, this is quite possibly the only engine of it's type in the UK and maybe even Europe. It cost me a lot of money to get hold of it and i will not be making a loss on it. I will quite happily keep it. It is also worth mentioning how light and compact this engine is. The engine must only weigh between 300kg and 400kg. I'll list the main stuff in bullet points: - 1GZ-FE 5.0L v12 - From a '05 plate Toyota Century - 30,000 mile engine (very low mileage and looks like new) - Complete engine other than what is listed below - Requires starter motor, power steering pump, alternator and aircon compressor - Comes with flex plate (So that a flywheel can be manufactured) - Comes with the auto gearbox (for the bellhousing) - Comes with two new oil filters (massive things), new aux belt and new iridium spark plugs With regards to the missing engine bits; they can all be sourced from yahoo Japan and imported by a number of different companies. Also, i have been reliably informed that the starter motor and alternator are the same as the ones used on the 1UZ-FE v8 engine, making them easy to get hold of. And so we come to the price. Let's say £2500 NO OFFERS
Go on then, hit me with better that toyota made . Something this advanced, strong, capable, amazing sounding etc.
That's an interesting lump that I'd never even heard of before. A V12 that can operate on just one of its two banks of 6 cylinders if the other bank were to fail seems pretty cool to me. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&r...KkmPgN&usg=AFQjCNFULjy4U--PKfUaV32sSJHxLx27Yw
You didn't say Toyotas best engine, you just said ultimate engine. Toyotas best, I would probably agree there. But there are 1001 engines out there I would rather have, especially for the cost
I think the marketing needs tuned down a little here. "This engine should be good for anything up to 1000hp on standard internals" Should being the key word. I've had two go bang at 500 ish @ 10psi. The rods are shite. You'll not find a standard one boosting more than about 8psi and 400hp. I'm currently in the process of fitting darton sleeves with customs rods and pistons. The stock ones are only suitable for NA.
That is actually very interesting to know. From people i have talked to before, i was led to believe differently (and not the people i bought the engine off ). I will remove that, for the sake of accuracy . Have you got any build threads or write-ups online? Also, any idea what the engine weighs?
S70/2 v12 bmw lump fitted to mclaren f1 anyone? Dry sump and 600 odd bhp, probably and v12 ever fitted to an exotic car? Or simply a 2jz which is half the price and capable of a ton more bhp completely unopened.
Yea ok , cool , but lets keep this dudes for sale thread clean and not make this a engine knowledge competition
I doubt you'll sell it here, too big/heavy to be of much use for typical drift cars, and a rather expensive engine. A couple of months ago someone on here struggled to sell a Merc S600 v12 twinturbo engine (with turbo's included) for 1000 gbp, and those apparently do 1000+ hp on stock internals. Kudos for trying though, V12's are awesome!
Flywheel PCD is, the housing isn't. However, the auto box is the same (post bellhousing), so you can use a 1uz auto bellhousing designed adapter plate to an r154 for example. That was my route. Using a tilton clutch and HRB.
No idea on weight, however the front end of my supra sat the same height as with the 2jz, so it's not much different. The 1UZ v8 on the other hand, is much lighter.
Thanks man, but i was expecting this. Call it an advertising opportunity . But yes, there are better engines, but also out of reach for most. If i'm completely honest i prefer the LFA v10, but that ain't happening. That's what i thought. Definitely didn't feel heavy moving it around the garage.
