Mapping didn't go to well mainly due to a boost leak via the wastegate and the boost controller not working but on its way to being sorted and another mapping session

Okay so the car has changed some what... I cleaned the wastegate and gave it to MB automotive who did such a better job - only issue now is that it's getting hot when pushed at low speeds, cruising it isn't so bad... But this means a whole new cooling setup to be made

This is just the base map, MB won't do any more until we can keep temps under control as anything over 100deg isn't worth pushing harder!.. Seems to be great if it's not drifted!

    New cooling plan

    - 25mm thicker,
    - Two fans on the front of the rad blowing compared to one sucking from the back
    - tanks on top and bottom not on the sides so gravity helps with the rad flow

Waterless coolant is on the cards too...

We will see how it goes, but I imagine I will still need to copy Steven Donnelly's rear radiator setup too if I still intend to drift it

If anyone has any other ideas to keep the temperatures at bay - please do let me know =]

Awesome, I think new rad setup, new fan setup, waterless coolant and an oil cooler - see how it is, worse way I add another rad in the boot too.

Not sure about the new colour (test paint, no prep)

Fitted a new K&N as the Apexi imploded
    [IMG]

Been driving it about and it's really good, did some drifts and didn't get hot... But on a more than warm day I imagine I will have issues!

Bought some goodies for it, extra lock knuckles/spindles, gandor mirrors, full 1jz-gte gasket kit, etc

I have lost a bit of enthusiasm as work is flat out and I just want something to jump in a drift that doesn't need anything doing to it other than maintenance - but I'm sure the urge for a s15 will go when it's painted and been on track!

I feel like you could really do with some skirt diffusers.

Can you not drop the engine down at all? I can't remember if you used standard crossmember or not but it's not like a JZ in an FD has never been done before.

    Looks cool though.

I could lower the engine if I dropped the rack below the subframe, but then it changes geometry even more and Ackerman comes into it - with the car being lowered the last think I need is a lower rack too... If anything I need to raise the rack =[

Still not 100% on colour... Who knows

More and more wedding photos of it keep popping up and I quite like it... Lol

Thanks dude, here are some updates

    Bought extended tie rod ends
    [IMG]

they were too long so I had to shorten them.. Even with the tie rod in its shortest position there was loads of track

There is lots of potential for lock on this car as can be seen half way through fitting the knuckles
    [IMG]

Once everything was fitted and tracked.... I was very disappointed... Apparently lower arms will make a huge difference so they are next I suppose.

I've been playing with colours and have settles on Renault liquid yellow in one stage oppose to 3 with a custom pearl
    [IMG]

And I've booked a drift day at santapod for October... So finally get to see if I can drift it... I haven't been sideways in a year now =[

They are fighter knuckles from tailgate in japan, if you're serious about buying them send me a message and I will arrange it for you - alternatively Jason Clarke makes a pretty good setup and is in the UK!!
