    Turning up the wick for 2016, so rather than trying to fix my smashed piece of shit purple Supra, I'm starting with a fresh Supra roller that I've had sitting around for the last 6 months. This one isn't damaged like the last one, so the hope is it's straight enough to manage a decent run out at Phillip Island as well as dropping a few skids.

    Formula is pretty basic;

    JZA80 Supra
    402 stroker
    - LY6 gen IV cast iron block
    - CP pistons
    - Lunati rods
    - Lunati crank
    - 5364 heads with a mild port
    - LS9 cam
    - Decent pushrods/lifters/rockers
    - Dry sump
    Refurbed CAT turbos (Borg Warner S300SX-60s)
    Ridox fibreglass widebody
    Work Meister S1 3p in 18x10 and 18x12, wrapped in the best rubber I can afford. (Probably Triangles..)
    Tube rear, rear mounted radiator and fuel setup
    Removable aluminium tubbed front arches
    Tube removable upper radiator support
    Most extensive cage I can put in it

    Pretty much just planning to take what I've learnt from the purple shitbox and attempt to do things as properly as I can.

    To be fair your fire it together any which way attitude was one of the best things about your build!haha
    But as your skills progress I suppose your car should too. Look forward to seeing what you do when you put your mind to it

    I'm sure it will still have my own style of "flair". I just want it to be safer and faster :p

    Sure am! Hoping to have it looking nice enough to fit in at Qld Matsuri in October next year.

    Discovered there was more damage to the white shell than I expected. Upon removing the charcoal canister, I found that the inner tub had been beaten up, and there was also some damage to the upper rail.
    Nothing unfixable, but for how I plan to use the car, it was not ideal.

    Queue some big decisions. I've decided that I'm going to use my old Supra, which formerly had a built 2JZ and GT47, as well as street rego. Initially I had planned to attempt to restore it to its former glory, but with my current workload, I've decided it's best to get rid of the 4 Supras I have at home and use the shell I know is good.

    Hence the decision to go and simply buy another TT 6 speed street car, and the return of this as my new race car;

    I also bought a set of LS3 heads for the motor, so it's starting to take shape a little more, and certainly makes the kitchen look a little more bachelor-y.
    From what I can gather, the LS3 heads have lightened valve springs and pretty much the best factory casting I could get for a 4" bore size.

    Daylight savings starts here tonight, and the days are getting warmer and longer. I should start to make more progress than I have been in past months.

    Got the brakes and suspension back in today, as well as the wheels on and the body mostly back together.

    18x12 with stretched 275's. I'm going to get these widened to 13" and put a 335 on or whatever I can get at the right price.

    Supra 4 pot front brakes don't clear the lip of the 3 piece Meisters, so I'm using 4 pot Celsior brakes as they're lighter and use a slightly smaller disk that allows the caliper to clear.

    Gratuitous body shots.

    Need to mess around with the wing mounts at some point, as well as learn how to set up wings properly.

    Took it for a trip to strip the sound deadening and get it ready for seats and cage.

    Broke a Falcon in the process.

    This should be safer than the knock off bucket seat welded to the floor with a fake Takata harness that my purple Supra had.

    Oh yeah. I forgot about this. It's basically done now.

    Basically it's currently;

    LS1 with PAC dual valve springs, morell chromoly pushrods
    80lb injectors
    Bosch 040 in tank and 044 in line
    Borg Warner S475
    4" into twin 3" exhaust
    Ridox widebody
    Origin 3D GT wing
    Concept Concave CC02 and CC03's
    Slideworx coilovers
    All stock arms with cut and shut knuckles
    Haltech PS1000
    E85 (I want to put it back on PULP though)
    Xtreme twin plate clutch

    Still needs to have the wiring neatened, cage made and harnesses installed, bay and interior painted, etc etc. But it's a start. Still, for a 9 day build I'm happy. lol

    I've pretty much given up on getting to any events this year, so I'm now going to try and get this thing neatened up. One of the goals is to get it under 1100kg without my fat arse in it.

    This is where it gets a bit pic heavy. I'm going to completely cut out the rear section of the car and rear mount the radiator and tube frame it all.
    It's quite tight in the front with all the turbo nonsense.

    Making up the fuel cell mounts;

    Hoping to start cutting the car up tomorrow.
