Unnecessary indeed, but also hilarious.. "you massive weapon" hahaha DW QR is pretty good, had one in my S13 w/ a nardi. You get what you pay for with cheap ebay ones! Completely not needed unless you're running a setup that is hard to get in (buckets or cage normally make it a pain)
Makes it abit harder to nick your car if the steering wheel isn't attached as well. Unless you're one of those 'massive weapons' who then hangs the steering wheel from the roll cage.
I like to clip my steering wheel to my backpack wherever I go, so people can see I am a sick drifter. Got me laid at least 5 million times last week.
I wear mine round my neck on a chain, like Flava Flav. Although to be serious, I have got a QR steering wheel as I'm a lanky fuck and it's difficult to get in with a full cage and fixed bucket seat. I have a Sparco QR from ebay, and it looks shit, but it does the job.
Yea don't go overboard with them, no need to get anything 'posh' innit. It's only the thing that connects the wheel you're holding to the rest of the fucking car.
Actually I've just checked, mine is a genuine Sparco, just not the uber fancy expensive version. Like I said, does the job.
