D1 Spec steering wheel has been swapped out for a ropey AdSport Foglight install complete (woopdy doo) Aero is off, removed for MOT but should take only 10 or 15 minutes to refit Regarding the MOT the tester commented that it's had many new parts including various arms, bushes, steering rack and alternator and is very clean and tight underneath. Bad points listed clearly and concisely further down. 1997 Toyota Chaser Tourer V JZX100 2500cc 5 Speed Manual 170822 km Auction Grade 3.5 - Interior Grade C Exterior Aero kit Kouki LED tail lights Despoilered HID lights Window tints Engine HKS SSQV Dump Valve Kakimoto cat-back exhaust Aggressive limited slip differential LSD Blitz turbo timer HPI air filter Interior Ad Sport steering wheel HKB steering wheel boss (retains cruise control) Double din headunit with bluetooth etc (controls in English but requires band converter for radio - included but not fitted) Autogauge stepper motor boost gauge Aftermarket gearknob Suspension/footwork Tein adjustable coilovers Tein EDFC damping control from inside car Can come on the wheels pictured or on Genuine BBS Mesh 17x8.5 17x9.5 ET40ish alloy wheels - Bridgestone Tyres Rear, Nexen Front all good tread, doesn't matter much to me. Standard specification includes Electric windows Electric folding mirrors Air con/climate control (the controls for which have been relocated to the arm rest to make way for the headunit) with oscillating vents Traction control Cruise control ABS PAS The car does have a few bad points. It'll need a clutch at some point within the next few months, a used (meat remaining) 6 puck paddle clutch and cover is included in the sale. It's still absolutely driveable, just the pedal now is quite high. There is a bit of a ripple in the rear off side quarter panel The paint on the mirror bases is a bit manky Front splitter has been cracked and the bumper underneath isn't in wonderful condition but it's completely hidden when the splitter is fitted I'd imagine the interior is graded C because of the air con panel relocation, otherwise it's tidy. Front wheels are fitted with some bastard heptagonal 15mm nuts which I don't have the correct socket to remove, you could probably hammer a regular 15mm on, I just haven't been arsed at all to even try. All import paperwork is present and correct. Currently the vehicle is unregistered. Viewings welcome by appointment, send me a message. I've been honest with my description of the car so I would appreciate if you're straight with me if you're interested, don't try and turn up and haggle on the basis of the bad points listed above - those are the reason for the current price.
That is cheap even with those faults. Not really much to fix either. Can you put up a pic of the door controls? Im curious lol.
Thank you, starting to think I'm losing it here, guess everyone just skint after Christmas. Tbh, you'd probably want to change the clutch anyway if you were going drifting, the standard one probably wouldn't last that long. I must stress it still runs and drives fine, clutch is just high. I think the heater controls have been relocated with one of these GX/JZX100 it all looks very neat. I'll get some pictures up tomorrow.
I'd be happy to take a p/x with a minimum of £4000 my way if it helps anyone. If it's a Beemer or an MX5 then it'll have to be mighty good looking.
Ross no worries if you got £2400 worth of car to go with it drop me a line. Ian I'm afraid the Lexus is no longer for sale some good looking bloke swapped his Scooby for it.
That is neat. I was interested in what they did and more so, why, They seem to have gained less space doing that haha as the center arm rest is big compared to the dinky din slot.
It is a bit of a strange move, I can only think that you can't quite fit a double din in with the heater controls there but tbh it does look like it'd fit without moving it. Who knows, they sell the kits to extend the wiring so others must also move them. Easier to reach while driving than the glovebox I guess.
Well if someone bought it they could sell the relocation cable, they seem to be worth quite a bit, and just drop the controls back to where they were. A double DIN head unit fits above the climate controls nay bother. Heres mine: GLWTS
Haha, odd then! You can pick up replacement centre consoles from Japan for £30 delivered so wouldn't be a big or expensive job for the new owner.
