Currently some cheap ebay coilovers. Once the engine is in and running in the future I'll upgrade to HSDs or BCs, but Im a long way from that point at the moment!

Yesss loving the engine choice. How did you go about making the adapter plate. My mate wants to run a bmw box on his b204.

A mate measured all the bell housing holes and made a template. It was a lot more tedious and complicated than that but we used nothing but a tape measure and a bit of scrap paper to draw on! Every hole lines up perfectly he did a cracking job!

Been tinkering around with this most evenings after work doing bits and pieces. Got the template cut and drilled on Tuesday, bolted the box up the same evening with some temporary bolts I had kicking around.

Flywheel came back from the machine shop after being re drilled for the bmw clutch cover,

Swung the engine and box into th bay to see what things were like, gearbox mounted up near enough to its original mounting points, it's an inch or so forwards but can still select all gears even though the shifter isn't centre of its hole in the tunnel.

Made some engine mounts up tonight, will get them finished tomorrw then start looking at the sump that will need to be made.

I see exactly what you mean, I think when we pieced it all together we decided that everything from friction plate back was going to stay bmw so it's easier to get parts for. It could well work that way though.

So am I! Itching to get it back on the road:smash:

So things have slowed down recently. Attempted to get the clutch/flywheel setup and realised the flywheel is too shallow for everything to line up, so I've purchased a singlemass flywheel from a 9-5 that will be sent off to the machine shop to try and get as close to the oem flywheel weight as possible and the face machined down.

Ordered a cheap stage3 clutch for the time being, if it holds together happy days if not I'll have to look into something else with no doubt a bigger price tag.

Engine is currently at a mates workshop having an exhaust manifold and sump made, hopefully get it back this weekend so can crack on with wiring it up and get some progress made! Re mounted the PAS pump where the air con pump was so theres room around the turbo just to make life easier.

Bought a matching bucket seat and chucked that in over the weekend too.
