Whats up? So about a year ago i bought my E30, stock with a welded diff and an M40 from an E36. decided to build it for weekend drives at the back roads but well i got into drifting (How can you not??) there she is, right after i paid for it: I Started with handling upgrades.. D2 Circuit coilovers (Full coilovers in the rear) powerflex bushes all around the car, Eibach ARB's, E46 front trailing arm conversion and a rear disc brake conversion. also got me a porsche 944 brake booster for a future 24v swap. Before and After had pics of the rear coilovers fitted with all the reinforcements needed but they got lost in my old phone Anyways, i bought an M52B28 single vanos, Headers, ECU and loom, a medium case LSD, Mishimoto radiator.. All the swap parts. Just waiting for the guy to unlock the ECU so i can get this swap started finally. Who likes some action pics?
Looks good. The only lock mods you got are the E46 arms? Hoping to get similar on my e36 compact with the same setup.
Yep its the only lock mod. You can get more lock out of it though of you fabricate longer steering rods. The steering also feels much sharper and more accurate
So i took a little unwanted break from the build. Had a hit and run while i was doing sushi deliverys on the motorbike.. stay tuned though[emoji6]
UPDATE: So i was just cruising the other day and a water hose broke, car got hot and stalled It's Dead! luckily i had that 2.8 laying around.. took out everything i dont really have to have in the car, A/C, old alarm leftovers and power steering I Still have second thoughts on the no power steering thing.. Decided it was a good idea to paint the engine bay blue (was high, dont ask ) Also Fitted it with a Porsche 944 brake booster, It sits inside nicely in the rear i replaced the diff from a welded small-case diff to a medium-case 40% locked LSD Brand new axles, hope they hold up.. only thing left is to connect the engine loom to the E30's original loom. this became a problem when the E34 loom i got turned out to be an E39 loom But my mechanic is handling this.
Nice build. Rear coilover conversion looks good ! What's the brand of your exhaust manifold on the M52 ?
Thanks guys!! @Riw-e30 its just an ebay manifold, cant even read what it says on its logo.. @Dean85 Its an off the shelf kit, the circuit range comes with either a true coilover in the rear or separate shock & spring, depends on what you choose. Update: So everything is connected, the car is running fine, but when the mechanic warmed it up the the thermostat housing broke Hes replacing it with another one. If it will work than im picking it up today!
So its 1:30am, i needed the car for an oldschool car fest tomorrow.. Do you think i can fall asleep now?
Ok, so the car is running really well! 2 and a half hours drive to the north for this car fest and 2 and half back, the car was running smooth throughout the whole trip. i even got a trophy for having the best engine bay also my m50 intake manifold adapter have arrived and in thursday im going to build a custom exhaust system. I also got a deal on a pair of omp reclining seats, i wanted buckets but the price was great so i said why not
Left the car at the fabrication shop. Getting a custom 2.5" single pipe to a custom muffler Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
