LS400 - chop springs,coilover sleeves ect

    just looking at the springs on the ls they seem to be tapperd on the front so has any one done chopped them im guessing you chop the top if its possible .

    also a i have some coilover sleeves lying around and was wondeing if i can just use normal 2.25 springs but im unsure on what rate to get due to weight of the car ect

    p.s i know coilovers are avail i am on a billy budget

    Speaking from experience, IT IS FUCKING HORRIBLE! DON'T DO IT!

    The previous owner of my UCF10 did it and has RUINED it. Anything to give you a decent drop will result in frankly horrible ride quality (and I previously had TA Teknic coilovers!), you get porpoising and generally HORRIBLE boaty handling.

    I've seen spring rates on coilovers from Japan at 20kg Front and 16kg Rear and on that note, if you look at Crooober and Aleado etc for UCF10 or UCF20 suspension, you may be surprised at the price :)

    Coilovers of my LS manual build might be for sale soon ish as im breaking the car now.
