Its a reconditioned one we got from a company my mate uses. So should see some nice top end now when the boost is actually running high

Tidyed up the brakes with some fresh paint:

Rolling shots, i think the fitment is just right!

And got the roof off the other day, went out for a bit of a play that involved some quiet roundabouts. It sounds so so good, it crackles and pops everywhere and mean as hell. Got the boost sat nicely at 15 psi, which is giving around 180 whp. plenty to spin 3rd gear!

Hiya mate, had a couple quick questions and sorry if they've already been asked! Whats the actual engine code for this and what car did it get pulled out of? Guessing it's the best one to go for but i'm Not savvy on saabs. Also how did you deal with engine mounts as are they not mounted for FWD originally?? Thanks again and sorry if it's already been answered.

Its the 2.3 out of a 9000 viggen, but its a bit of a frankenstien block. engine mounts are fairly easy to make rwd, same as making any engine swap mounts. No worries, im happy to answer questions :)

Hi i have just found this item and I'm just blown away i was thinking about this exact engine swap and gearbox but a friend told me that the Omega gearbox is too low geared for the MX5 diff and you would need to fit the Omega diff as well . How did you find the gearing with the MX5 diff and if you changed it what way did you go. Great bit of engineering,
