IMG_4454.JPG So I bought this turd for £100 as a rolling shell as it was about to be scrapped and as I didn't have the cash to buy another s14 at the time i thought I could save this Datsun, take my time and spend money on it over time. The plan was to build on a budget and grab deals when they came up
    I bought it may 2014

After getting it to my garage to strip it down I started poking a screw driver around the rear arches as they was rotten... Ended up pulling the outer skin off by hand so my plan of running stock arches was out the window

Soooo out came the angle grinder and with no marking up this happend in the space of 5min

Also the rear sill was gone

So I attempted to weld it up

Came out fine considering I'm new to welding

Next I thought I'd have a go at tubbing the front arches as they was rusted and I want to run it low

Next stop was to find a engine. This one came up with more service history than most cars have alone so went to help pull it out he's s14a
    [IMG]

Then I went on to find some bargains by buying in bulk so I picked up ss turbo elbow, 3in downpipe, decat flexi, cat back exhaust, fmic, bmc, low mileage sr20de gearbox, turbo, braided lines and probably some other shit

I didn't really like these overfenders but they only cost me £30 so went with it. Then picked up some rays 9x17 et20 for £110 and a pair of xxr 10.5x18 et10 for £200 notes

So in December 2015 I had a fall broke my spine and had to leave work so progress came to a halt for a few months and the car got full off cobwebs and mice. I felt I'd never get the car done and was giving up hope in finishing the car and my back was still bad but then my good friend Lewis came over and said right lets get this engine in so we fitted a exedy paddle clutch off dw and got the engine in and we also flipped the intercooler and made some short pipe work.
This made me feel much more positive about the s14 and I could now see it coming together at last

Fitted some s14a skirts as they cost me £15!
Dropped my kei office coilovers and slammed the Bastard. I fitted 30mil spacers upfront and the arch just sat on top the tyres so out came Pablo get low the scaffold bar so pulled the arches in 5min and now they fit fine.

With the gay over fenderers my 10.5 et10 still looked lost so took a gamble on some 45mm spacers and its sat perfect

    Fitment level 1000 win!

Will be chopping the rail lower and flipping the sidemount or like you say, box section and bolt to the floor

To say you've just thrown it together it's looking pretty cool imo. Would like to see full pictures of the car with the spacers on.
