hey fellow drifters and drift lovers. my name is lars and i have bin on this site for some years now, but never really made a project thread. but thought it might be a godt idea to share what i ahve done over ther years and what is going to come.

so i pick'd the car up 7 years ago, when i was 16 years old. pick'd it up in harwich with my mom and stepdad, as i could not drive jet. (we get our licencs when we are 18 here in denmark) it was probable the best day of my life and the start of a long and hard but awesome adventure in to the love of rb engines and nissan.

sorry for the change in pic size.

    chapter 1 the beginning

so here are some pic's of when i pick'd it up.

    1924166_1026418950330_8730_n.

    1924166_1026419590346_3166_n.

    1924166_1026419190336_322_n.

it look'd god but had some problems that needed fixing, like a bunch of rust. my first plan with the car was to get it tax'd and registered, so the next couple of years was all about that.

i don't have many pic's of that time in it's life. and stud stil for some years as i did not have a place where i could work hard on it. so here are some pic's from that time.

new wheels and i had the rear panels and trunk chang'd as it was all rusted out.
    1917471_1271541478240_3546389_n.

    60899_1604166673662_5080917_n.

and then some where across the line i had a melt down and paintes it primer gray

    IMAG0038.

but then i took it to a drift event. and whas hock'd from the get go.

and from that time on i new that i need'd to make it a drift car and just have fun with it and not worry about the whole tax thing and registration. but then it stod still again for a bit until i moved in to a farm house where there was a big garage. so now i could really get moving on the project.

chapter 2 building a drift car first stage.

so with my new garage and some more year knowledge as i was now a apprentice mekanik. i set out to build my self a drift car, my first big project.

so startet with i just need'd to weld the diff and change some stuff in the subframe. but then it snowball'd to a big project that took some years to get finish'd.

so here are some pic's of the first stuff i did.

next thing was to get the engine out as it had low comp on 2 cylinders.

i had a carbon bonnet for it, that i could not wait to test fit, just love carbon.

then me and my friend's build a paint booth so i could paint it and do some bodywork on it.

and then we jump 6 month forward, as i got side tracked doing some rust repair and helping my friend build his s13.

so after that 6 month i was really looking forward to getting back to work on the skyline. so startet with getting the engine bay done and painted.

then i moved on to the body, wet sanding for days.

and then it was time for what i had bin looking forward to for years, as i have had the paint just sitting for years.

and then on my birthday i got to assemble the hole car again. there is just no better felling then seeing your vision come to life, probable one of my best birthdays ever.

then with the painting all done i moved on to the suspension.

just love burning out bushings

just love getting a bunch of parts delivered, it feels like christmas.

so i started with putting the front suspension back together.

    IMAG0759.

then it was time for the rear. painted the underside and all the parts before fitting them all.

after this i went on the hunt for a new motor, my first plan was to rebuild my rb20 but could not find the parts i wanted so went for a rb25 swap. found a motor with only 37282 miles on it that came from a auto car in japan. so got that home and cleaned op and painted and fitted.

unfortunately don't have many pic's of the last assembly of the engine. so now we come to the end of the first stage.

    so that concludes chapter 2

chapter 3 drift and upgrading it along the way.

so after i was done with the first stage. i took it to a couple of drift event. but kept heaving problems with fuel deliverer and the breaking up and just running bad.

so after it doing that and using a lot of time on it to fix it. i said to my self well lets just do it proper and change the hole fuel system and ecu.

so after alot of research i wen't for a auromotive fuel tank with a auromotive a1000 intank fuel pump pumping fuel through an-8 lines to a nuke fuel rail running 550cc injectors with a auromotive fpr.

    11885359_10207375929866062_5323607444259033147_n.

with all that going in, i changed my intake manifold to. as i was tired of it running over the engine.

so with all installed it looks something like this.

so then i got the idea to get a new ecu. to get it running prober with the new parts. so i contacted a company here in denmark called kk autoteknik. after a lot of back and fourth with him, we settled on a ecu master ecu. so i gave my car to him to get it all installed with a complete new wiring harness and audi tfsi coils and also calibrate it to run a Bluetooth dash.

so after a couple of weeks i pick'd it up all runing sweet and awesome. so it came out with 364 hp at 1,2 bar and 394 nm. i am pretty impress'd with the moment curve. it feels awesome now and have plenty of power for my skill level.

so with the car running good i took it to some drift events on some different tracks and feel even more ind love with drifting and the hole atmosphere around the track and the people you meet.

some pic's of the car driving.

ups, the track eat'd my bumper.

so now we are up to date.

so the latest thing i have done to the was to fit a hole new steering setup. a buddy of mine had started to sell a new steering kit made by some polish dudes, and i have heard good things about them. so i made a deal with to test the kit and do some promoting for them.

so just finish'd installing the kit.

so that is where we are at now. in 2 weeks i am of to the track to test out the kit, can not wait.

hope you guys enjoyed the read. and sorry for my bad english from time to time, i well work hard to keep this thread up to date with what happens with the car

so as requested here are some info and some more pic's of the steering kit.

the kit is made by some polish dudes named fat. it replaces the complete front steering setup, with a new subframe that moves the steering rack forward 25mm. front and lower suspension arms and the complete hub with new bearings. it should give 73 degrease of steering angle and have ankermen adjustment with plates you change out.

    hope the info helps you.

Oh my, that kit looks exactly what I had hoped I'd find for an R chassis. Was contemplating making one myself. Very interested as to how I might source myself one of these kits

so yesterday i was out testing the car with the new steering kit. it felt awesome, needed some getting use to. you can really save the car from spinning a lot of times and really make it go wide. so sad that the season has ended here in denmark, but now the winter build can begin.

so if any one are looking in to the kit, hit up sdperformence on facebook in denmark or Funo Auto Tuning that makes the kit.

here are some pics of the car in action from yesterday. also i am making a video of my 2016 season. i well put a link op when it is done.

last time i was out driving my right tie rod end snapped and sent me into a wall. destroying my front headlight more and benting my fender. so that ended my day. but on the upside i got to see cool tandem drift of my friends.

    some pics of the damage

but it is all fix'd soon, just got a new tie rod end. so now it's all about getting the car ready for an event on the 30/10 if all goes to plan.

but as i promised, here is a video i put together of my last event.

so with the new season coming fast, the car need'd some work to be ready. i smashed the front bumper last season many times, so it was in bad shape. so a new bumper was in the cards, so why not also widen the front fenders to clear the wheels.

32419617876_4418c7bd65_c. 16195345_10211618790654930_5082751671682033849_n by lars harden, on Flickr

    16114679_10211618789534902_4025519229836541637_n.

now it all just need painting.

also want'd some more safety in the car, as i was beginning to come into the turns fast at the end of last season. so got a bolt in cage for cheap, that i took out of a r32 gtr what a hell of a job. it is a janspeed cage that was made in 1996, so some old school stuff going into the car.

also went a little diffrent way with the paint on the cage, have't seen it around that much.

it was from them. but it was a install error that made it snap. the only thing i have found you really need to lock after is the counter nuts going loose.
