Hi guys so I went with GB / John setup that he had on his e36

    I also have an e36

Basically it was 20mm shortened hubs
    25mm spacers
    E46 arms

Now he used rack spacers can I not just use e90 tie rods instead of the rack spacers

I read this thread and I am abit confused

E46 arms on E36 again.... - Technical - TrampDrift Forum

    Btw I have a z3 steering rack

    Thanks

Rack spacers give you more lock, longer tie rods will just give you toe out. I made a thread about what I did on my compact on here. Have a search.

Thanks I just had a look so you ran e90/e92 inner tie rods

This is what my modified hub looks like

It's a straight joint not at an angle at all

Ah I've never run modified hubs - trial and error?

The standard 36 ones will fit but you'll only have a small amount of thread engagement.
You can cut e90's or cut and extend the 36 ones.

Ok I thought so. Just to confirm then I won't need rack spacers if I go with the e90 tie rods right ?

You shouldn't need to use spacers just cut some thread off the end going into the track rod end.
