Awryt I have a s14 bog standard gonna start tuning it gonna do a swap from what I've read I don't want a rb25det etc I'm looking now in the 1 jz or 2jz . Bare in mind this is going to be car just for me to take it every now and again so it's not going to be getting the abuse it would if I was drifting it .

What's the main difference in the 1 and 2 jz?

I want 600hp but the ability to go more if I want to what engine better ?

What engine is gonna be nicer for my wallet?

How much will it cost for me to get the swap done and achieve 5-600hp?

have a google or search on here theres loads on the comparrison of the two basically 2.5L/3L non and vvti options.

    your ball park looking

    1200-1500 for a 1JZ
    2500+ for a 2JZ

Then cost of box and clutch etc on top £2000+

then wiring and ecu depending on how fancy you want to be sticking stock or aftermarket...

dont expect to have much change from £6-7000 for a stock setup by the time its in and for the power you want you can throw a few more thousand at it for uprated parts etc....

also if your cars bog standard your also gonna need to look at coilovers, brakes, fuel lines etc...
