Made some progress one the inlet manifold. The original lower manifold has been machined flat. When that was done i was able to measure the exact location of the runners.

Made a 3D drawing for a plate that will be welded on the runners and in the planum. Next day got myself a plate of alluminum and started machining.

    Plate done, and fits perfect!

Now the plenum needs to be machined and then everything can be welded together.

    This awesome!

Out of curiosity, what clutch setup are you intending to use? Have you implemented a PMC flywheel spacer/adapter?

    Tanks!

The car is going to be daily driven therefore i bought an original BMW clutch. It's supposed to take 600nm of torque, so we'll see how it holds. The PMC flywheel is fitted directly to the flexplate.

Have been buissy with some other shit lately, but made some small progress:

catch can mount made, This is one of those ebay things (god i love ebay). It has been modified to fit a breath to atmosphere filter, filled with stainless steel wool, pipes with holes and a crane on the bottom.

Also the previous owner of the car did some weight reduction with 5mm holes i guess.. Looked awful so welded those.

A local company had some of those alloy radiators in stock. This one seems to fit best, for a Toyota corolla. Unfortunately the dimmensions they gave were +- 10 cm i guess... have to make that fit later. :smash:

did some more work on the tunnel but forgot to take pictures

Nice to see other people like it! Only one thing.. The bottom gearbox bolt is off. Send me an email for it.

The PMC kit is on ebay.. Don't know what the current price is. Tilburg is a bit far from here .. does Texel say anything to you?

Currenty The project is a bit on a stop. Bought a 71'' cadillac that needs a little attention as daily.

Leuk om te zien dat dit iemand in Nederland doet, hoe ga je het doen met de rdw etc. Ben het waarschijnlijk zelf ook van plan alleen dan met een gte blok. Ben benieuwd naar het eindresultaat

nice job 2JvLo really liked your job
and brilliant idea to machine the plate so you can use GS6-53DZ
in my e46 318ci 1jzvvti drift build i am using the same adapter+ flywheel from pmc and e46 330ci clutch
but fortunately i run bmw e46 318ci RMFD-5 speed gearbox cuz
in middle east we do not have bmw diesel models so i have to import the GS6-53DZ still cheaper than r154 !!!!!
i was thinking to lengthening transmission input shaft but i think i will do same as you i will just machine the adapter plate

and sorry for my bad English

Absolutely! Maybe start a separate build thread if you don't mind?

    The T5 swap looked clean!
I have a 945 which had a T5 but the swap didn't look as nice as yours :) Picture
    Now I'm doing a Swedish 2jz... T6 with a HX40.
