Hi dudes, HKS 5 Speed DOG Engagement Gearbox with SR20 bell housing, "Dog LEG" shift pattern. Can also supply adaptors/housings for other engines (Toyota JZ, RB20/25/26/30 ) etc. Gearbox was recently opened up and serviced, and had a custom GM26 spline Input shaft fitted to eliminate the weak point. It was carted around as spare this season for the S13 incase we had a gearbox issue, we could do a gearbox change in 15minutes with this gearbox as its a direct fitment to what we have(4 bolts and clutch and bell housing can still stay on the engine etc) ... but we never had gearbox issues all season so we are deciding we dont need the spare and someone can buy it. These gearboxes are strong, especially now that we have the huge input shaft. £5000 delivered in the UK.
I've heard of a few people running 800lbft from a 3.4 2JZ with cut slick tyres with no issues. This box has the much bigger 27.5mm input shaft which is the weakest point in the standard box
I also have an option to convert HKS gearboxs to fit JZ, consists of a longer input shaft with matching lower gear, conversion plate to fit to 2JZ auto bellhousing and custom flywheel to suit
Nope, you would just need a clutch with the matching 27.5mm GM spline. Any decent clutch company can spec that for you
