My projects are doing my head in, and taking 3 times as long as expected and I can't get any decent drift parts for my JZS147 and I'm currently doing a single turbo top mount swap on the 2jz

Whilst that's going on, was looking at getting something I can strip out slam to the ground and get some cheap lock

    Looking at a e46 330 or is200 budget is 2k max

I'm not looking for links to cars, but more about which to go for?

Also any cars I've missed, needs to have a decent and pretty cheap parts availability

Fair enough man. Bmw is the better choice don't have to be a 330, 325 will work. Is200 will skid but needs work and the engines are gutless with a box to make them feel fast.

I think you are absolutely mad for even putting those two cars in the same sentence..
I had three IS200s, I was a proper die hard fan of them! but in reality they're okay, parts are pretty expensive, arms, coilovers, bushes, and there is nothing really special about them, they're cheap though and fairly bulletproof!

I recently took the opportunity to upgrade to an E46 325 Touring, I've built it up over the past few months, its a very good spec and cost less than half what a lexus would have to get to the same state I absolutely regret not doing it sooner. I can only imagine a 330 is even better... BMW>Lexus IMO.

I'll be fitting a 330 engine to mine in the new year, just because my engine is a high miler. Cant wait.

Had both. No comparison. 330 definitely comes out on top.
Although, if the choice was between a 330 or Altezza then I'd say Altezza

The e46 330 has an oil pump that falls apart above 6k rpm.
