I use an external alright but only feed it straight off intercooler pipe. Ran a t28r at 1 bar and it worked fine.
Hi, I have been offered a holset hx52 turbo cheap from a company in Poland with 11cm exhaust housing , t4 and Compressor wheel 67mm,Turbine wheel 70mm. Twin scroll Will this be OK to run on the 1jz vvti. There's so many views it's hard to decide. Just wanted your opinion . Many thanks
A good twin scroll manifold with either twin wastegates or a wastegate fed by both scrolls will be ideal to get the most out of the turbo But once you've got that out of the way it would be a great turbo for a 1jz. 11cm will give good response and the compressor will flow enough to push some good numbers up top
The boost reference is coming from the IC pipe. As for boost I would think you could run 18-24psi no problem in terms of turbo health. Not sure where efficiency is at but it would likely be higher than 14psi.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252535079096 Does this look genuine ? Based in Poland. Anyone had dealings ? Thanks
It's genuine, that one looks fine, but most of the stuff he has would be a bit of a gamble as he just sells well used turbos he buys in bulk and so can't confirm the state they are in for sure.
Thanks, has anyone had any from him before? Looking to install on 1jz. Do you think this one will be ok then?
Every single fucking one of them used Polish ones I've bought in the past (cheap so seemed worth a punt) were pretty well fucked. Even ones that looked ok until housings were off had fucked outer bits of the blades and shit. Knew some might have issues so seemed worth a punt, but turned out it wasn't, so I've given up on them
Hi guys, I am looking for a HX35 with a t3 12cm twin scroll, but cannot find it. Is there someone who knows where I can buy it? I don't want a chinese one of course! Thanks
Is it used or brand new? I want it brand new and never used. By the way, no feedback from Compressor Racing at all...
Compressor racing were great for me arrived within 2 days of ordering. I think they get pestered by a lot of messages though, I would expect that if it's not listed for sale on their eBay then they don't have it.
Well it's still a good thing to reply to customers (I think), even when you don't have the item in stock. Also maybe they can have it if they order it, but no answeer at all :/
Not that I have any attachment to them at all but their Holsets often sell within hours of being listed because they are hard to get hold of, I don't think it is simply a question of ordering them. I'd keep an eye on their eBay and their Facebook account to stay up to date.
