A lot of guys on here will probably recognise the car as it originally was built over in England and have seen a few previous for sale threads of this car. Car is still going strong. Has an R154 in now instead of a W58 and was resprayed and a lot work done since in Ireland. Even have a Dyno Sheet for 456hp from last year. Needs few bits don't get me wrong but absolutely delighted with it. It's currently off the road as the clutch pedal itself has come loose and making it hard to select gears so in the middle of reinforcing that and NCT'ing the car and it will be back in action.
Awesome. I'm currently undergoing a gen 1 conversion to tt, then single Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Yeah thought it looked familiar reg was something like chz . Congrats on the purchase from a fellow aristo owner Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
Thanks guys. Yup rock_on used to be CHz Reg I'm only second owner of the car on Irish plates. I now it's changed hands a good bit on the English plates lol
Love this car, had a nosey at it any time I see it about. Rough and ready but very effective. Pretty sure it's 450bhp @1.2 bar too. Get the boost cranked up!
Fair enough mate, just I got a 16cm hx40 whcih looks a very similar size in pictures - it's for sale if anyone is interested ^^ Sent from my VIE-L09 using Tapatalk
Looks awesome wasn't this for sale recently ? Also I'd not go much above 450bhp with a 2jz as the amount of tq they produce will shred it. But that's my 2p Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Was up for sale couple weeks ago, only for few days and I done a deal. Yeah 450 is plenty not gonna lie happy enough. If I want anymore power I'll hold out and get a proper ECU and some injectors etc. Yeah 1.2Bar made 450hp have dyno Sheet and that was also with a boost leak haha Rough and ready is how I like it ha won't be no show pony I'll deff try get out to another Autoheroes in it see how it behaves haha
Running same setup the last 3-4Years. Aristo Ecu's are supposed to be very decent and good with changing and adapting on its own. Agree car would benefit with a proper ecu and tune though no doubt.
The aristo ECU goes Into 100 duty cycle when you are in WOT. It doesn't really adapt as such, all ECU's have certain parameters that change. But running too rich or too lean costs HP. Same boost with tuned ECU will make more power! I'd have a AFR to ensure you are not in the lean band. Good engines can even die with crap tune. 1.2 bar will be very close to the injector duty cycle. I built this from a stock twin turbo into a single turbo also done 80% of going manual to lol I'm glad the old girl is still around haha this was my first jzs, I'm now on my 4th as they are such cool cars haha
Thanks Dave yeah I seen few of your previous threads. Cars still going strong! Was underneath the car the weekend. Exhaust isn't in good nick but deff has an R154 in it so I can stop worrying! Just have to weld in a cat and hook up some reverse lights n bleed the brakes and the car will be in for an NCT (Irish MOT) the start of April all going well. Brought it for a spin Saturday too as haven't driven it with the clutch pedal fixed yet. Drives so much better and nice and smooth gear changes not hard to select gears anymore thanks to my mechanic. Unfortunately has bit of a misfire now, my mechanic thinks plugs and I think so too plus it's been sat up since late Feb and rarely driven so not surprised haha
That's awesome man, last I heard it had a w58 in there lol not a good move for a big heavy jzs with lots of power haha the r154 should be good though. I will be keeping a eye on this build, I wish I didn't sell it lol
