    For Sale is my 2004 Mazda RX8 231ps which i've turned into a track car, and have done over the past 6 years. 95% of the parts i've bought for this build was bought from new and it's been a no budget build. the car has only done 500 miles since it's rebuild including 4 track days. I’m selling because it never get the time to use it and i need the spare cash to purchase a house.



    The car handles amazingly. There are not many cars that can keep up with this handling wise. for instance, in dry conditions you can take avon rise at castle combe at 120mph before braking into quarry, which is terrifying my I add. the car feels very planted its a very easy car to drive fast.

    As body work goes, its really clean, Only the Areo has cracks and marks from hitting the grass and cones from ‘offs’ but as far as track cars go its a very clean one



    The water temp never exceeds 94 degrees, even after half hour sessions, never had brake fade. The car works so well and sounds amazing, i’m forever having people coming up to me saying how good it sounds and the fact that shoots flames on every up and down shift.

    the car has been sat in dry storage for the past 5 years intill recently, ive been asked about rust before but i can honestly say, rust isn't a issue. the car is solid underneath although, it could do with undersealing.

    I built the car to the current time attack specifications at the time of building but the only thing that is missing is a battery cut of switch (included in sale). and depending on which racing series a plumbed in fire extinguisher and pull cords.

    I've been asked about compression tests before too. honestly, i've never felt the need to do so. the engine starts first time/hot and cold and the car is fast, and has a surprising amount of mid range torque - i'm welcome for you to compression test it if you would like but i don't have a compression tester for a rotary.

    As stated above, very reluctant sale i wish i could keep it but one of my toys has to go. the current spec is below.

    Bad bits,

    The car has no heater matrix

    It’s currently sorned and had no MOT so will need to be trailered away.

    the drivers seat is bolted in place, and has been suited for my height of 5ft 7 so if you’re taller you’ll have to modify the mounts.
    The car could do with a service and a good clean inside and out.
