BMW E36/E30 engine swap ews question

    If I swap a s2000 engine into an e36 or an e30 would I have to mess around with the ews? Could I still use the same key for the locks and ignition? Because the ecu is changed would there even be an ews system to deal with?

    why would you want to put that lump in those?

    unless you turbo it or something theres a million better options for the chassis.

    Great idea.
    Depending on the year of the chassis will determine what ews system it has. E30 will have nothing, early e36 are easy, late e36 have ews 3 that is a bit more involved.
    Plenty info on Google about all the systems and how to defeat them.
