Charger cooler and pipe work now complete Took a little bit of time, We had to cut then original end caps off and basically make our own, its all tigged now from turbo to charger cooler to throttle body. Another job ticked off the list, Just need to finish the inlet manifold now. {} {}
finally finished all the custom charge cooler and all the pipe work is now finished too! We have now turned to the inlet manifold this engine has direct port injection but we are still keen to not use this hence why it now has port injection in the inlet manifold which Pete welded the injector seats in last night, We are waiting for the nozzles so we can add direct port meth into the manifold as well In the mean time we are concentrating on the water pipes as we have had to relocated the standalone electric water pump to the other side of the engine bay {} {} {} {} {}
This thing is a beast! 2JZ would have been nice, but N54 is like the BMW version. It's always nice when it looks like it belongs. Love it!
Looking good! I read a post on SW about a guy who put a N54 in an E36 compact, brilliant engine and can handle some decent power, quite a few yanks getting good BHP from these engines without too much internal work.
Like I said I can't take credit for the fabrication work, I just cut and tack and pete does all the fab work. So done a little bit more, wrapped my exhaust manifold so that's completely finished now!! Also added the bosses on for port meth injection and also a meth injector just after the charge cooler. Starting to look a car now! {} {} {} {} {}
