One of my close customers has asked me to sell this vehicle on his behalf (when coming to view you'll deal with him directly and most likely I will be there too)

For Sale: 98' Mazda MX5 1.8s NB Mk II with Turbo conversion fitted and mapped.

    First Registered 25/6/1998
    Has Current MOT Until 20/7/2018
    Currently SORN

The car was original built to go have fun, its really fast as you can imagine with this size of turbocharger, the external screamer pipe sounds really good on full chat and its surprisingly not that laggy, a lot of fun on the road or track.

Unless you've modified a car before it might not be so obvious that costs involved in turbocharging a n/a car, the car has been built to a good standard, the engine is stock other than a few new bits here and there, the point was to map the car so that if you do have an engine failure its only a case of picking up a new engine and replacing, avoid those expensive rebuild costs and having to have it remapped again.

    Engine runs well and heathy.
    • Stock internals
    • Custom Exhaust Manifold (Log Type)
    • Garrett GT3071R Ball Bearings Turbocharger
    • TIAL 44mm Waste Gate (Screamer)
    • Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator with Gauge
    • Uprated Fuel Pump (Walbro)
    • RX8 Yellow Injectors
    • Standalone ME221 ECU Mapped By Greg @ ProTuner
    • Exedy Stage 2 Clutch
    • 17" BBS Rep With Good Tyres All Round
    • Large FMIC
    • HSD MonoPro Coilovers
    • Some Factory Wheels To Come With The Car
    • Recently Fully Serviced with New Cam Belt
    • New Cam Cover Gasket
    • Torsion LSD
    • Uprated Air Filter
    • Boost Controller built into ECU (Mapped)
The car was never intended to be a show car, it was built to have some fun in and used on track days, this car would suit someone that enjoys tinkering and willing to solve the small niggles to make it perfect, the body work is fairly solid however there is signs of rust in the normal places, but nothing that would be considered an MOT failure, the roof ideally could do with being replaced or repaired, the intention was to replaced the roof with a hardtop if the car was to be kept.

There is a small oil leak from somewhere on the engine, just haven't had the time to investigate it further.

I will update the forsale thread with the power numbers it made on the dyno, as the printout was lost and can't recall those figures, so intead of guessing I will try and get another copy and scan it to prove what it made.

Its really hard to value this because I won't be returning what I've invested into it, however I would be happy to let it go for £5500 ovno

Because the vehicle is currently SORN, you would need to put the cash into my hand before you test drove it at your own risk...

    Thank you for looking :D

Best contact is to call me on 07985114856 (Tim)

Very quick video of myself doing a little ring of fun in it, must be noted this is a customers car and I wasn't go smashing it off the limiter or pulling gears, we was testing two things here, if the diff worked well (which it does) and how low the turbo pulled from, So I was playing with the throttle to just keep it a constant donut without destroying his road tyres! but you can clearly see its effortless..
