My friend started to go through the previous owners rustwork. As you can see on the pictures, its not perfect. so it has to be redone.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det. projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

On top of that, i found some 2inch spacers. This is just to get the wheels to sit properly untill i get some wider wheels.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

And to top it all of. The first part of my paint preparation arrived. Big thanks to Autolakhandel.dk

I think its time for a small update on this thread.

In the easter weekend i collected my friends and went on for a work-weekend. The plans was to install the aero, fix the rust and maybe even prime the enginebay if there was time for it.

Unfortunally we didnt get that far because of some green cans filled with alcoholic beverages.

First off, we did some cuts projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

    Did some more cuts
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

    And did some welds
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

So now there is space for a good tuck of the wheels :D

We did install the overfenders. but the need to be cut and fiberglassed so we can fit the sideskirts as the whole curvature behind the door is wrong.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
As you can see, my friend is working in the enginebay to fix all the previous rustwork. It was A LOT worse than we thought. So eveything is cut out and redone properly.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
If you look at the line going through the door and onto the overfender, you can see its not straight. This means the sideskirts dont fit. So we have to redo this. next time we are together.

We did a test-fit of the 50mm spacer and wheels (17x8 ET35) Only problem is that the camber is fucked :D

Trying to figure out where the final rideheight would be
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

And an outdoor pic with the original wheels.
We live for weak offset! <3
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

After seeing this picture, im gonna sell the TypeX wing and find a 326 style wing instead. The original one just looks so small and narrow.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

When i came home, there was a small package for me.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

And as a tribute to my old S13, i installed the gearknob on the gearbox. Gotta love the dildo-look

Looking sweet mate can't wait to see this progress!! careful with those spacers though I'd get hubcentric ones if you can otherwise you can get a fair bit of wheel wobble! great build though, following

Thanks, I cant wait for it to be finished.
And dont worry about the wheel spacers. I sold my wheels to a friend who have a pretty stock S13. Yes, i know. They exists!
    26994356_10156011398358374_6280378343353399955_n.

So now im going for the 5lug conversion. Just have to find a set where the ABS still would work.

I also ordered a few now spoilers for the car as the Kouki one is sold. Im gonna update with pictures when they arrive :p

I took another weekend working on the fiberglass. I both hate and like it at the same time.

Lets go through the stuff i bought:
From Auto Collect Storm in the states i bought a Fender brace, bumper fitment guide and a Harnessshield
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

An oil sandwich plate with thermostat so i can run an oilcooler
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

A guy not far away from me had a dashboard with everything for sale really cheap, so i bought that. its been wraped with some fabric that dont look so good. but again. I only needed some plastic from the speedometer and the center blower-thingy

    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

For once my car had good company. My mechanic needed to get the red car through "syn" which is the danish version of MOT.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

So... i concentrated on getting the right rear to fit as its the most difficult with the fuel filler lid.

But first... Time for a beer!
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

    And then back to work:
I made a cut where i needed to change the way the overfender was sitting. i had a piece of wood in behind to get the right angle.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

Took it all off and did some magic with small pieces of wood
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

The pieces are wraped in packing tape so the fiberglass resin dont stick to it. Works brilliant
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

After i gave it a few layers i mounted it again to see how it looks
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
Actually not bad. But i still have to cut out the button part where the sideskirts are gonna sit.

My fuel filler lid didnt line up with the overfender. So i had to do a lot of sanding to make space for it. Unfortunally this means i had to build a new "wall" in fiberglass around the opening

Here you can see how i extended the filler lid to get it to mount flush with the overfender. And also at the button how much i had to sand to make it look acceptable.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

Its not perfect yet, but its getting there
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

Thats all i did that weekend. ill be back! :D

Weather is nice here in denmark, and while im enjoying a cold beer, im gonna update this build a bit.
The car is still at my friends place getting all the rustwork done and getting it ready for paint.
After hours of fibreglass, we came to the conclusion that the rear fender dont fit the way we wanted it, so i bought another set.

As previous stated, my friend convinced me to buy a 5 lug conversion. That meant i needed other brakes, calipers and wheels.
So off we went. found a set of 5 lug conversion from USA. A set of Z32 front calipers from Latvia and discs from Germany.
As usual i settled for a set of Brembo 280mm x 30mm. A really beefy set compared to the stock ones. In the back ill keep the original calipers and discs, but i did redrill them to fit 5x114.3
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

As im going for a total resto-mod, ill repaint these calipers. Luckily the neighbours to my work is JWL. They make air-tools and had a set of Sodablasting tools for me for free. And i DO love free stuff!
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

Unfortunally i did not have a compressor, so i had to buy one.
Its small, but its doing the job pretty well.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
It sucks, but i ran out of soda. I ordered a bit more so i can finish it up nicely another day.

I also ordered new seals and pins for the calipers.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

When i was bored, i found a really great deal on Bride Seats on Ebay, so i ordered a set. But unfortunally they are fake as fuck!
at this point, im waiting for Ebay resolution centre to step in, so hopefully ill get my money back.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
But they do look good with my Bride-bag attached :p
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

Yesterday i received a small package from Mishimoto. Its always nice to get some quality for the car ;)
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

Finally go the 5 lug installed, but unfortunally the Z32 calipers cant fit :( I need to find some fitting wheels as close to stock S13 wheels in dimentions so it can go through the danish MOT.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
It does look like a fucking offroader on stock suspention though :D

As stated earlier, a friend wanted to buy my TypeX spoiler, so i ordered a new one. Say hello to the little 326 Power Wing and its smaller brother, GP Sport roof spoiler
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

While im still working on removing the sounddeadening. thats a pain in the ass, even with dryice.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

Meanwhile my friend is welding the enginebay.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det. projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

And a small teaser of the colors the car hopefully will have, thanks to Autolakhandel.dk

Time for a update i guess.
Theres not a lot of news as im still trying to find time to go to my friend and do som work on the car. but at least im buying a fuck-ton of parts.

First of i needed some intercooler pipes. I couldnt find any, but some guy had a brand new Autobahn88 intercooler set laying around, so i bought it.Just need to sell the intercooler core as i have the Mishimoto one.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

My catch can also arrived. Its pretty small, but i like the stealthy design
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

After my friends and i spend forever to fit rivnuts to the rear quarterpanel, i figured id better buy a gun for it.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

My friends was joking around with resetting the odometer to zero as the car is gonna be pretty much as new. They joked... I did it.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
Its gotta be funny to drive it through the danish "MOT" :D :D :D

For a long period of time, i was telling myself not to buy anycarbon for the car, as its not important to get it to drive. but ofc i found a good deal on a slam panel.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
Damn you gotta love carbon fibre :D

Last off... i received a small package from FRsport.com today. It was filled with a few goodies for the engine.

    https://www.ebay.com/usr/stonecarbon2009?_trksid=p2047675.l2559
    Im addicted to ebay :p

But in general, im throwing a lot of money into this project as i want a nice and stable car for the summer months. And i dont care what it costs :D

Something i didnt mention was that i have a "small" order on the way from driftworks also.

    I totally forgot this buildthread.

Unfortunally i havent made much since last update, but here goes.

We spend a whole weekend with 4 people to get the fibreglass widebody to fit the car. But we gave up. This was a huge letdown as i really liked the design. Even the 326 power wing had to go as it was in such low quality that we couldnt possible make it look good enough for our standard.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
From a distance, it actually looks pretty good, but up close its really bad!

So i had op other option than to search around. And i ended up with a set of Origin Labs fenders. 40mm in the front and 50mm in the back.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
The fitment on the Origin Labs fenders are so much better than the previous ones.

I continued with removing the sound deadening so we could get the interior ready for paint.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
Fucking shitty job! And you can se a "tiny" hole in the firewall here. It was a LOT bigger than we thought! around 10x15cm! But good that we noticed it now, and not after its been painted.

As i wrote earlier, i ordered a small package from Driftworks.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    Allow me to present:
HSD Coilovers, Driftworks adjustable arms and Stanceworks Aircups!
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det. projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det. projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

    So many goodies!

    And even better!
After months of waiting, the exhaust muffler arrived!
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det. projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det. projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det. projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

Its a Xforce Varex 3inch exhaust with remote. No i can be stealthy when cops are nearby. And the oval shape means i dont scrape or get stuck going over bumps.

As im starting to purchase stuff for the engine, i found a carbon cover for the coils, So i had to get it as it fits perfectly with my carbon slam panel.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det. projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

And i just had to change the blue silicone hoses for the intercooler to black.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

Last but not least, my sponsor Autolakhandel.dk send me a package with all the colors needed for this car.
One color for the enginebay and interior, another for the exterior and a 3rd one for all the details as calipers and so on.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

As this car wasnt born with A/C, i had to install it. This meant i have to find all the pieces. Not easy! hopefully im getting the condenser and filter this weekend!

    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
I would love to get the digital climate control from a late model 180SX, but its really hard to find everything i need without paying an arm and 3 legs.

My friend told me last week that him and another buddy will do some metal work on the car. So had to come by and see how its going.
I picked up the carbon coil cover so i could see how it looked.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    I approved :D

My friend tackled the front right side as its previously been hit, so the whole headlight bracket was bend. I ordered a new straight from Nissan here in Denmark so it could be replaced. But the previous owner did some "rustwork" where the battery used to be. This was not good enough for us, so it had to be redone.

    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

End result of this peace looks something like this: It still needs the last finishing touches, but a LOT nicer than before.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

The 2 guys do a tag team on the car. One is welding and the other is cutting out rust and making patches. Thats how you do progress :D
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

Inside the car there was more rust than expected. But im so happy it was found now, and not after it has been painted, installed sound deadening and undercoated it all.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

But what looked like a small hole, suddenly grew a bit bigger :p
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

Thats it for now. Ill return when theres something news, like a complete Z32 brake swap or a painted enginebay ;)

Take care and follow Order42 on Facebook ;)

Time flies and im to busy to actually do much work on the S13.
But im happy that my friend is slowly welding everything.

On top of that, i've almost collected everything for the AC.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

And because of the Z32 front brakes, i had to go Z32 in the rear also. So ordered a pair of rear z32 calipers.
But as i still wanted a proper feel in the brakepedal, I ended up with a BM50 brake master cylinder.

In on the lookout for the perfect wheels. Its a bit problematic as im running Aircups. And i dont want to use spacers if possible.
Here you can see a 18X8,5" ET33 wheel. And its gonna hit the aircup when its under load. Its a pretty big problem if that happens ;)
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

I was bored, so i ordered a GT2860 turbo from a local dealer. But i figured out that a 2871 was a better choice for me, so i returned it.

    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.

Thats if for now. But im planning a work-weekend with my painter and my mechanic. So hopefully we can start putting some paint down in the enginebay.

A guy close by had a 3" catalyst for sale for cheap that he had used on his S14 so he could get his S14 through "syn" (danish equivalent to MOT). So had to pick it up.

And when i got home, there was 3 meters of AN10 hose in the mailbox together with 6 AN10 clamps. The look of this really tickles my balls :euge:

And on top of that, there was a few Exhaust hangers that hopefully could fit the bushings of the suspension.

I think its time for a small update.
The enginebay is 95% ready for paint.

I bought a small bundle of random parts for cheap. I only needed a engine harness, but i took it all.
There was some B450L injectors that should fit the CA18DET perfectly and a lot of other parts that i could sell and earn a bit of money back

On top of this, i had to order some parts from LDperformance. Say hello to Mr. Launch Control and his friend, Sir Boost controller

Here you can see that a previous owner cut open the radiator support. And we really dont know why. But it doesnt matter, its getting replaced with a brand new one.

What you all propably havent noticed is that almost everything is recorded.
So far i have none less that 218gb of pure video and counting :D

One of the things i was missing for my Gopro, was a gimbal, so after an evening on eBay, i found this one:

It was cheap, but it works perfectly. I still need a gimbal for my Sony A6300. But that has to wait.

I also received 6 Vband clamps for the exhaust so i can remove every part independent.

I also received 5 squaremeters of 200g Carbonfiber so i can start playing around with that.
With the roll of carbonfiber, i also received a bunch of small samples of other colors.
    These are really awesome!

    Update time!

Besides the 5 squaremeteres of carbon fiber cloth, i also bought a single squremeter of cheaper cloth to test with.
As i only had some old intercoolerpiping, i desided to try and wrap these with the carbon fiber.
This is the first time i tried something like that, and it ended horrible. or, actually im not done yet. But i learned a lot of do's and dont's.

First of i painted the piping black as the carbonfiber cloth is a bit see-through.
Then i layed a layer of epoxy. This was the first mistake as the cloth was sliding around and made a lot of airbubles underneath.
I had to wait untill it get tacky and then put down the cloth. This took forever (over 5 hours) as its fairly cold in the warehouse where i did it.

I tried to make the connections on the backside so it wouldnt be vissible when they are installed. even though in not using these pipings.
Then i put down another layer of epoxy. And its still in a cold warehouse with around 10 degrees celsius.
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
Again. because of the cold, the epoxy wouldnt harden as fast as i would like it to, and then it would just run. So theres a lot of sanding to remove the runs.

And because its piping, and not something simple as a flat panel im carbonwrapping, i have to twist and turn it multiple times to get an even coat of epoxy. But again. Im learning by doing this :D

Here you can see the backside that will be hidden if these pipes would be installed:
    projektbilen-nissan-200sx-s13-ca18det.
It would be cut off and sanded down so it would look smooth.

And the mailman delivered some studs for the turbo and elbow.
They are 38mm M8 x 1.25 with locknuts. Even though im gonna go with Nordlock washers also.
