Good day The brake booster on my s14a is not working. I tried using an r33 GTST brake booster but that booster is faulty. Currently where I’m from (Trinidad and Tobago) my options are an r33 GTR and the s15 Brake booster. Which booster should I use? Or what is the recommended brake booster that should be used with this setup? The car has the following: -R33 GTST brakes front and rare - HFM bm57 17/16 bmc.
Would seem very strange for you to have 2 faulty units, they are all usually very reliable. What is actually wrong ? Are they leaking or something ?
Thank you for your response I appreciate it. What is actually wrong is that I have to pump the brake peddle to actually get pressure for the brakes to work. If the brake peddle isn’t pumped the peddle will go to the floor and the pads don’t get enough pressure to stop the car. I thought it was the s14 bmc but I replaced it with the HFM BM57 bmc and upgraded to the r33gtst calipers front and rear. The new bmc did not fix the problem.
Sounds more like you have air in your system or your BMC is leaking than a booster issue if you have to pump the brakes to get them to build pressure
Replacing the bmc did not fix the problem. We found that the relay is not working for the abs pump. {} {}
