I bought my 97 Chaser in November 2016, a decent spec list, and very very low, its a series 1 with a series 2 lip kit. FB_IMG_1528051413252.
    It had bride seats,
9.5x18 Works with cheap streched 215 35 tyres
    GReddy FMIC
    KTS Japan colis
    TRD 2 way diff
    R154 converted (later box from a jzx110)
    Greddy EBC
    Sparco steering wheel
    Cusco front ARB
    Straight piped shotgun exhaust (loud)
I also bought a hybrid ct15 turbo as part of the deal
    S2 rear lights
    And majorly blacked out windows.
Drove the 300 miles home to find out the shockers were noisy and the thing was too low for a daily. IMG_20180603_184510_365. After a couple off weeks the turbo shat itself....so on went tye hybrid,
IMG_20180603_184510_362. only ran it on standard boost until I did this.....on xmas day with my mum in the car....off boost on a gentle curve....needless to say my arse was like a blood orange... 20170223_170259. 20170116_170516. 20170116_170548.

Needless to say, i was devastated, left the car until Feb before I rebuilt it, luckily panels are still available from Toyota.

Fuck unlucky man. Fair play getting the quarter for it. Looking forward to seeing how you fix it very similar to what I did to the back of my car.

So finally got the thing to a bodyshop and got the chassis sorted and new panels and paint sorted, had to find a used S1 rear lip from Garage D as my S2 one had made sweet love to the motorway barrier.

    IMG-20170411-WA0001.

IMG_20180603_184624_075. I drove it for about a month before the hybrid turbo blew again...so i sent off my original ct15 to Midland Turbo to get it hybrid. FB_IMG_1527766722189.

Once fitted the power was better had a more even distribution and was a whole lot easier to drive.

I then got rid of the Diamondback Japan tyres and fitted a new set of Avons in 235/40s...due to the offset of my Works ET12 i think, i do have a bit of poke...but the grip and general drive has been transformed. 20170505_175832.

I also replaced the KTS japan coilovers with BC items as i thought my top mounts were the cause of my clunking over bumps...after the noise didn't go away I wrapped my anti roll bar in tape to see if it was the d bushes....which it wss, so I ordered and fitted new Poly d bushes and drop links.

Whilst under the car I noticed it had RCA,s fitted, its also got 2 box sections welded into the shocker towers which I presume was pre import as it has been ran super low 20170605_143443.
Also at this time I noticed my exhaust was flat and in pretty bad shape so I ordeed a new HKS one from SRD 20170420_170413.
Obviously I raised the car a tad due to the new tyres and to try to preserve the new exhaust. received_10155316888773284.

After that realised I hated the Bride seats so found some Sparco R100s...used but not used if you know what I mean, so swapped them out a fitted a new headunit and got rid of a load of old jap tech wiring including the video screen sun visors..also bought new carbon trim for the window switches, thought these would be pricey but were only 15 quid a side new from Toyota

    FB_IMG_1507621199803.

I also fitted a LD Performance EBC and HKS mechanical boost gauge, 20170614_204700.

Whilst I was at it I added a rear Cusco strut bar which I think looks mega...

I then just drove it for a few of months and added a few JDM stickers (stsndard)before putting her away for the winter, IMG_20190202_164207_642.

Cool build man! With the bigger tires and higher ride height a bigger kit would be nice too!

What spec is that hybrid turbo? 850 injectors, link ecu etc sounds like youre aiming for quite some power

Im hoping for about 400 to 450 on this turbo, body wise im pretty happy as it is, ideally Id consider swapping the rims for sone less agressive et. Will get the hybrid specs later.

Well updating the car, my daily is ill, so I got the JZX out only for it to not start, checked over and found the starter had died, was gonna strip and replace the brushes and stuff but went and got a new one from Toyota, which at 177 quids i was ok with. 20190228_101935.
Old starter, number was discontinued but we found an alternative, the 12v contact pole was in s differnt place and the starter looked physically bigger, had to adjust the wiring slightly but it works perfectly. 20190228_124833.

Bought a few more bits since the last update, set of hardrace rear arms. IMG_20190201_185112_358.
Also looking at adjustable front arms, maybe these??? Screenshot_20190208-201426_Chrome.

Just managed to find a replacement rocker cover too so, that'll be going on soon too and hope to get my dash flocked too

    20181121_152813.

Also debating getting some Takata harnesses too.

Thanks for all the comments guys, means appreciate the opinions

What exactly did you get done to the turbo? I'm looking to get mine done in the future, but not sure what to be going for from Midlands website! And a rough cost via PM would be great - not sure whether to be expecting hundreds or thousands..
