Ok, I’m new to drifting and cars in general. However I’ve been doing a ton of research. I want to get a car that I can drift but also use as a daily every now and then. My first question is, is this possible. I don’t need to drive it as a daily very often but I want to be able to. My second question is more specific. I’ve been looking at 240sx’s and I want to get an s14 but I live in California and so that limits my engine options to just the Ka24 if I want to keep it street legal. Will this have enough power for a me to learn how to drift. Lastly I’m also considering a 2005 mustang gt. I know they are notoriously heavy and have terrible steering angle but I figure with a little modification I can overcome those things. Would this mustang be a better option for a daily/drift car than the 240 because of the increased power it has?

Go for an ex police crown vic cheap to buy plenty of spares available and being ex police will already be tuned for good power.
