Haha I'm hoping it'll be fairly reliable, not had it on the road yet :p
Thought I'd do the rocker covers a colour you don't see very often, makes a change I guess :) glad you like it

Yeah I really do, wanna do mine when the car is actually working right and I have done the other million things I want to do to it, but it's already a red car so dunno if it's worth changing the colour! Maybe yellow as that's the same colour as my air filter, and kind of goes lol

Yellow would look cool I recon on a red car, or blue, kind of difficult to get colours right on anything that isn't black or white I think haha

Basically do what it needs for the mot, get it on the road and then start modding it, going for stage one first but I'm just sick of it being on the drive! I want to drive it :p

Haha yeah that was my plan, it's not an awful lot more cash to make it stage 2 tbh, my turbo is on it's way out anyway so seemed like the perfect excuse!

ok so massive update! been real busy but dunno why iv not updated so here goes!

    Finished up my seat mounts
    [IMG]
    Nice and sturdy

Probably a few more bits but I cant remember, it was a while ago

Then it was MOT time, did some last minute checks the day before and found out I hadn't got any working number plate lights, tried to change them but the screws were rusted in so I had to take the bumper off to sort it, bit of grinding and a few cable ties later and it was all sorted
    [IMG]

The day was finally here and this is how she sat
    [IMG]
Had to insure my granddad for the day to drive it to work for the mot as I couldn't get any temp cover due to my age which sucked

But good news! she passed! I had to drive it so I taxed and insured it while I was at work so I could drive it home haha

After the mot I just drove it for a few weeks to get some miles on it and find any faults I may have missed but she was absolutely spot on.

Took a 250 mile round trip to my dads which did the run in good, put my time to good use while I was there and gave it a good machine polish
    [IMG]
Got a real good shine on it

And of course I had to get a photo next to my dads r32
    [IMG]

Went to fetch a front mound when I got home, had it sitting around for quite a while before I got round to fitting it
    [IMG]
Got a load of intercooler piping thrown in with an exhaust I bought of a guy with an rb25 s13 project which was pretty cool
Had to modify the pipe for the cold start vacuum pipe
    [IMG]
Fits nicely behind the front bumper
    [IMG]

Went for the first proper drive up to snake pass with my mate in his punto arbarth, gave my car some stick and was spot on the whole way, never got too hot, didn't miss a beat
    [IMG]
Quite like this photo next to the reservoir

Fitted the yob box at work
    [IMG]
    Sounds real nice

Was out one night and drove past a lorry park so obviously had to do this
    [IMG]

Love this thing its so good to drive
    [IMG]
Too much tuck tho, definitely need some wheels

Invested in a Drift Works super cool rad as the intercooler was blocking kind of all of the air flow lol
    [IMG]
Engine was looking decent with the nice shiny rad in there
    [IMG]

Made my own maf adapter for a filter because why not haha
    [IMG]

All was going well until I was out one day fetching parts for work and my coolant decided it would rather be on the floor rather than my engine! turns out I had a hole in one of the heater pipes under the inlet manifold, so I got it on the ramp at work and made a temp fix as id planned to get a hose kit for it in the future
    [IMG]

So the water leak was sorted, two or so weeks before I had developed an oil leak from around the sump area which sucked so I was keeping an eye on my oil level closely.

Last photo before I decided to take it off the road for a bit again
    [IMG]

Had a fair few plans for it this time, hose kit, oil leak, new coilovers ect but as every one knows do one job and uncover another one and so on... so before I knew I was on another rebuild again
Bought myself a cheap daily, got the slag jacked up ready for surgery
    [IMG]

Dropped the rear subframe for a complete over haul.. new bushes, brake pipes, underseal ect...

Burning the old subframe bushes out was fun but it was quite messy
    [IMG]
However getting the metal collars out was less fun!
Got the subframe shot blasted and powder coated in black, looks like brand new now
    [IMG]
Got the DW subframe poly bushes to go with it
Got it bolted back in and gave my diff a coat of paint to freshen it up, also binned the diff oil cooler as iv read they are pointless!

Decided against adjustable arms for the rear as its a road car so doesn't need to be set up as perfectly as a track car so got a load of DW poly bushes for all the arms and hubs.
Got a cool photo of burning them out with the oxy acetylene
    [IMG]

Painted the lower arms, new bushes and new balljoints
    [IMG]

Before and after on the hubs, look loads fresher with a coat of black
    [IMG]
Waiting on a few more bushes then the back end will be done bar coilovers

Also bought a nice cheap t28 that had a shot bearing
    [IMG]
I thought if I rebuilt the engine then surly I can do a turbo haha
    [IMG]
Really fiddly job but got it done

Test fit but got a stainless manifold to put on
    [IMG]

While the subframe was out I dropped the fuel tank to seal above it and found this in the rear quarter
    [IMG]
Welded it up just need to filler and paint
    [IMG]

Clutch has seen better days, think it must be a standard one
    [IMG]
Looks as tho its been getting quite hot..
Friction plate looks like only half of its been working aswell
    [IMG]

    Few other bits and bobs

Painted my boot from some dodgy de spoiler job in the past
    [IMG]

Got a pig nose splitter which look mint on the facelift bumpers I think
    [IMG]

Welded up a nice hole in the front lower cross member
    [IMG]

    Fitted my solid steering bush
    [IMG]

    Now up todate!

Today I took the engine out again seeing as there was a few pipes and wires holding it in as I need to seal my sump and oil pump, (I think this is where my oil leak is coming from)
Got a few bit ordered to finnish my engine off ready to go back in.

Il be doing more on it tomorrow, and hopefully I can keep this regularly updated so I don't have to do another huge update (sorry about that :p)

I fitted a solid steering bush to my S13 a few weeks ago and it looks like you haven't pressed the brass sleeves into the bush enough. I think they are supposed to go all the way in.

They are longer than the bush I did them the same as they were in the rubber bush, it's solid so I think it's ok

So iv decided to continue my build thread after stopping for 4 years for what ever reason

Kinda hard to cram 4 years into one update so il try to keep it short and sweet, my nissan was on the road for a bit then broke and sat for a bit, in that time I thought it was a good idea to buy an e36 and start drifting so the s13 got neglected for a bit

Bought a 318 saloon with a 2.0 in it and did some skids, put a 2.8 in it and did another skid then decided to scrap the shell and put the running gear into a 36 touring, couldn't get on with that for some reason so sold it and bought a sensible daily...

So back about a year ago when I started working on it again, stripped all the front end down, plans are to sort what ever rust there is, 5 stud conversion, refresh the engine ect...

Made some new subframe captive bolt things, welded in some metal in the inner arch where the battery tray was as it was rusty and made a mess when taking the tray out.

    Screenshot_20190608_202158_zps4uvputsg.

Painted the engine bay again and repaired the front cross member, quite happy with how the cross member came out.

New Fmic mounted up with some better mounts than the old one
    [IMG]

Engine got a new MLS head gasket, top and bottom end gasket sets, new maxpeedingrods turbo and reground the valves in

Sourced a spare engine for a good deal, comes complete even with the coil pack cover, been wanting one for ages
    IMG_20190501_094624_zps8ck6nfwb.

New brake set up, iv gone for s14 front and r33 rear, another good deal from a mate, rebuilt with new seals and some paint
    Screenshot_20190608_202052_zpsw2buedqy.

Got a set of wheels too, gone for the classic r33 gtr wheel, going for a relatively oem look on the car
    Screenshot_20190608_210637_zpsckaj1wjy.

That's all the major work done on the front end, just bits and bobs left to do now.

Now on to the back end where the majority of the rust is, sills, rear pockets/subframe mouts ect... Gonna be fun fixing this, only started this in the last week or so

Ran out of cutting disks at this point, will continue with it next week

That's sort of it for the last few years, well done if you've made it to this point thanks for reading, il try keep the updates more regular from now on to keep them short and sweet.
