If anyone has any information on the manual swap. Clutch pedal position ect. Feel free to comment. I'm going to try update the thread as best I can with as many photos I can for future reference.
There is a lot of custom in the swap man, custom mounts, prop, cutting holes for shifter, centre console Handbrake etc. Pedal is a real pain because the cars only came auto, is easier to do at same time as single turbo swap as you have much more space when all of that is removed! Makes it a little easier for making the holes for pedal mounting and Cylinder! There is some wiring needed for bypassing NSS and getting the speedo/reverse lights working etc It's just the fact that the Aristo never came manual that makes a manual swap a bit more difficult than say a jzx100.
Should've said I'm also mid swap, Ive box pedal prop mounts and all the single turbo stuff bolted up! Just need exhaust and intercooler pipes handbrake and a few other small things! It's slow going but doable!
Bought it from ebay. It was used for fitting of a turbo so brand new. Its a xspower manifold from an American company. Equal lenght headers and 44mm external wastegate. http://xs-power.com/toyota-turbo-manifolds-35.htm
Owned a few Aristo's, really good cars. Manual single should have been out the box but then you'd be talking about a 10k car judging by today's scene tax.
Hey could I ask how do them Xs power manifolds hold up they any good fit wise and build quality? Was looking at one of them for my chaser
Sorry for the lack of updates. I've just got back at the car last night. The xs manifold fits and looks like a well made piece. Haven't had the car back together yet to see how it fares when mapped. But for the money it fits and feels like a good péice of kit. Got to start the strip down for removal of the engine last night. Hoping to get the engine out this week and start on turbo setup then. {} {}
This is a few interior pics. Still not sure how the manual swap will work wit gearstick and stuff. The aircon has been previously moved in Japan and is a tidy job. {} {} {}
Choooo Choooo. The holset Hx40 s fitted. Manifold fits a treat. Now to figure out the turbo feed and return lines. {} {} {} {}
