Been a while since iv updated, got a few more bits done, managed to finish the drivers chassis leg, this was even worse than the passenger side, again... Due to some shocking previous repairs it took twice as long haha

Basically ended up chopping the whole thing off, aswell as the floor and starting again, thought it would be much easier this way, slightly overwhelming for me being such a big piece but felt it went well.

So started small and gradually worked my way around it all

Forgot to take any more pictures of the drivers side but it's all done now finally!

Few other bits and bobs, Santa bought me some wheel spacers so tried the wheels on with them, they fit very well, (the rear arch gap will get addressed in due corse). And also picked some skirts up, some of you will knows who's car they came off haha

Managed to get the gearbox in so that all need sbolting up properly, and got some Gk tech shifter springs too that need fitting. That's about it for now, in the process of making a battery cable but just waiting on bits, hopfully won't be too long now till its time to fire it up!

Replaced the manky old rubber fuel hose with some stainless braided lines, looks a lot nicer now (I know there's one missing, didn't take a picture when jt was finished haha)

Got the thing running too! What a pig of a job that was, after a few hours of trying to figure out why I had ignition lights but it wouldn't crank over, turns out I had to bridge the inhibitor plug as it used to be auto. Not sure why iv never had to do that before mind, had the engine out twice before this and can never remember messing with it. Runs like a dream tho now, didn't even take any cranking, just flicked the key and fired straight up!

Got all my brakes fitted up ready to go, just need to make a couple of brake pipes for the rear and il be ready to bleed it all up, brakes look so good behind the r33 wheels
    IMG_20200212_120701_zpsluqjcsnx.

Had my little helpers on the job the other day, love this photo!

That's all for now, hopefully get some more done this coming Wednesday and an update to follow, finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel now!

Update time... Had about a month and a half off the car due to covid and the car still being at my mums, but had a week off the other week to try and get it sorted for mot and get it mot'd

First I needed to try and get the wheels pointing in the right direction after putting new front suspension and track rods on untill I can get a proper alignment
    IMG_20200311_141911_zpshcj4v9ak.

Got a flexi welded into the new exhaust and made a back box mount as the old one was rotten but didn't take any pictures of that
    received_920659998392025_zpsjcm4cehb.

And finally got it down on the ground and moved it off the drive for the first time in about 2 years
    IMG_20200304_154411_zpsefsp38jr.

There was a few little bits and bobs left to do after this like, tidying wiring, fitting bumpers properly, fitting interior and so on

Picked up a pair of s15 seats for a good deal too, only needed drivers but too cheap so I got the pair haha
    IMG_20200520_183123_zps62gadih9.
Didn't leave them that dirty, got them cleaned by the valeters next to work haha

Only interior picture iv got so far, gonna get the car to my mate who does detailing and get the whole thing done properly, the paint is horrendous after being sat outside for so long, that'll be a job for next month
    IMG_20200531_163108_zpsfpzyu0yy.

And it was ready for mot! Had to set the coilovers high for it to get on the mot ramp at work, looks hideous
    IMG_20200527_140756_zpsbo1rxj84.

Managed to make it to work with only one break down, only popped a boost pipe off as it was still loose... Whoops, apart from that it drove well
    Snapchat-1560701742_zpslnowk6qn.

Pleased to say it passed! Only had a couple of little bits and bobs to sort out, nothing major.
It's amazing how much different a car looks when it's on a ramp and not 3mm from your face on a drive way

Stuck it on a 2 post to finish the last few bits
    IMG_20200528_115200_zpsyqpeq3eh.

Got a couple of pictures of underneath, looks a bit messy I think

Was very scary taking a car down the A38 to work with no proper road tests before hand aswell haha

But with all that done, it was time to go and get it aligned and go for a good drive, went up to Buxton and back down all the country roads, was great to finally drive it properly! Didn't miss a beat, I did have to adjust the boost down a bit as the stock actuator on the new turbo was set a bit high.

Obviously had to get some pictures while we were out

    IMG_20200531_160602_zpsrjwyipsl.

And max looks happy to see the car too haha
    IMG_20200530_123809_zpsnmzw4ftf.

While we were out, the gearbox started making some funny noises, whining and whiring so that needs looking into, I'm guessing it's the spigot bearing that I forgot to change but that'll be a job for next week.

Got my mate painting my new wings as the ones on the car are a bit Battered
    received_3108086842587784_zpsp8a4thp7.

So next few jobs are.. Sort out the gearbox issues, get the wings and side skirts fitted and get it properly cleaned. No doubt there will be more to add to that list but that'll do for now.
