Hi guys not been on here for probably years but I know u guys are a pool of knowledge,, so,,,,, I bought a Toyota Tundra gen 2 rwd truck, yes it skids but I didn't buy it for that,, it's my work truck 2uzfe vvti engine 4.7,,, last Monday I drove through water that was deeper than I thought, splashed water into the intake long story short,, the engine cut out quietly,, I've begun a strip down,, engine will now turn on the crank but stops at a certain point,, it'll turn backward ad as well,, until stopping at the point again,,, now main question is for now,, Is the 2uzfe vvti block the same as a.non.vvti block,, ie if I have bent rods could i joust but another engine,, non vvti as there's a few in this country,, and swap over? Are the rods the same as 1uz and 3uz as someone has said yes but would rather double check that Cheers in advance
Might have better luck if you can post in the '1UZ, 2UZ and 3UZ Forced Induction Technical' or '1uz-fe swaps uk' groups on Facebook, some knowledgeable folk over there
This may not be the best advise in the world but when I hydro locked my sr after head gasket failure, I pulled the sparkplugs and cranked it and watched all the water shoot out. Put it back together and then it fired up. Got me home that day. Albeit a bit smokey!
Defo too late for that yep,, 2 holes in block,, I've almost got 1 head off,, gonna inspect it and take it from there,, if the heads are ok then Ye if I can get a non vvti block from the UK and is the same as the vvti, then that's best case scenario
