What is the Best bang for buck on an engine swap in a 2 litre chaser? Few options I'm looking at are Om606 super turbo diesel 1uzfe vvti / 3uzfe 1jz /2jz Any other options to consider and gearbox options
I'm also doing a swap in my mark2 gx100, considering the price of jzx100s I found doing the 1jz swap was alot cheaper! Removed the slow but reliable 1g-fe and bought myself a front sump 1jzgte vvt-I complete package including ecu, i/c and maf from a 171. The changes I made were Jzx 100/1jz engine mounts Walbro 500 Fuel pump Jzx 100/1jz radiator Just in need of a bellhousing to run the w series gearbox The only thing I'm concerned about is the body loom wiring! Engine is going in tomorrow so will keep it posted All in all cost around 7k including car. Hope this helps in a way Cheers Corez
I think you'll need a full loom, id have just paid the bill if i wanted a JZX100. These swaps never just go straight in ha! Good luck mate!
Cheers for the replies, Looking like I'm going 3uz with it.have a deal pending on donor car,should work out fairly good using j160. Good few is200's running these with great results
