    WBeoxd6.

Since I can remember I've always wanted one of these cars. I think the first time I saw a JZX100 was from this video.

Roll on many years later and I can actually afford one and although now I much prefer the Mark II to a Chaser.

I chose to get one from TorqueGT as their reviews speak for themselves and I did not want a bashed and beaten up one.

Darren from TorqueGT and myself found this grade 4B Mark II and after an inspection agreed to bid on it at auction.

    So here it is..

These were 2 of the auction photos.

99 Toyota Mark II Tourer V Factory manual in 057 pearl white, on 145KM (90K miles).

Spec is pretty basic but a good base to start from:

    Trust inter cooler
    HPI radiator
    blitz nur spec
    seat Recaro SR6
adjustable suspension HKS hyper marks 46T
    Camcon EX
    reinforcement differential mount TRD
    Defi boost meter
    Throttle position sensor/ gauge
    Work VS-XX
    Panasonic blu ray head unit
    Classic Nardi

It does however have a small amount of damage on the rear lip which I'll get repaired or I'll find a replacement if I can.

The over all plan for this car is to enjoy it for a while how it is then the goal is to have it kitted up with 400+ brake, Kaaz 2 way with some other things but that's a while off for now.

Here are some photos while it was at the dock ready to be shipped to the UK.

(low quality photos as with all import photographs it seems).

While waiting for the ship and tracking its progress I decided to buy a few things for the car.
(thankfully I was allowed to keep them in a spare room).

    ZSPr8oJ.
    DAjpxdX.

Just to list them as some aren't in the photo.

    Full Origin Labs body kit
    Origin Labs V2 roof spoiler
    Cusco rear strut brace
    Nardi Deepcorn
    Wheel spacers & Spigot rings
    Greddy Prospec OLED boost controller
Mark II rear badge (mine missing)
Work CR Kai WMB 18x9.5 from a good pal over in Ireland.
    Few other odds and sods.

So after spending a good amount of money on things I wanted for the car, the long wait kept going on and on.

The car landed in the UK and was collected and transported down to TorqueGT in Devon.

I got some more photos of the car..

    BRWLUaB.

    oADOWDB.

    wEG8ELQ.

Spend some more money on doing a good service on the car which TorqueGT carried out.

Service + bottom crank pulley, rocker cover gasket, cam belt, water pump pulleys etc.
Gearbox and diff oil were changed too.

COVID-19 hasn't helped in the matter due to the fact the importer 'closed' for a while in which I don't blame them at all and the DVLA was running on limited staff.

However, FINALLY the big day came and I could collect the car I've been waiting so long for!

Updated the thread with some more photos and information. Skip to around 4 weeks of ownership now, I'm really enjoying the car and have put around 1,000 miles on it already. I fully understand the following of these cars, for me at least it was always about how they look and can look with body kits on and lowered. Having never driven one before, I was surprised how well it drives.

Things I've done up to now:
Sold the Work VS-XX (would have kept if they were 18's, I don't like a stepped lip).
Put on the Work CR Kai's
Changed brake disc's and pads all round.
Fitted the Cusco rear strut brace.

    How the car sits currently.

(I have lowered it via Photoshop. Please forgive my 4x4ness if you've seen me around. I need to man up and roll the arches, so if anyone has any tips on how not to do them please DM me on instagram or on here).

Also note I've bought a number plate for it and have just fitted it within the last few days.

Typical J2X plate I know :euge:

Nice car but I'm not sure on the wheel combo. It's either the hyper silver colour (assume it looks chrome at times) against the white or the design themselves. CR's usually look spot on so it must be the colour?

WMB (WORK Metal Buff) if a rare colour in these so I've been told.
But I see your still have a chip on your shoulder from when I told you that putting the full amount you were asking for your car into your hand to allow someone to test drive it really drove you up the wall.
Not being funny but I've said my bit in a PM to you and I felt we both left it at that but you're still commenting on my stuff and just being a twat really.

Not everyone's cup of tea with white and chrome but it is for me and I'm doing this car for me and me only.

I've lowered the front a tiny amount to make it sit level, however in doing so the tyre touches the arch when going over a bump.
Going to roll the arches when I get time and I'm also going to look at getting some camber arms for the front too.

Took some photos of it yesterday afterwards.

    Where do I begin!!

This might not be in order however some of the things that I've done so far.

    • Front Cusco Camber arms
    • Garage D RCA
    • Stiffer spring rates (HSD 14K front, 12K rear) < Might go higher soon.
    • New drop links
    • Chasing water pooling in the boot! (giving me a headache).
    • Tinted windows
    • Decat
    • Heyglendori Knuckels
    • Hardrace inner tierod with built in spacer
    • Works Bell 535S hub
    • NRG Quick release
    • Japspeed front tension arms
    • Enjoying the thing!

    Some beauty shots first..

    YAdaRH6.

    rrJxgxR.

    JJuZluV.

One of the first things I changed were top arm for a set of Cusco camber arms.
    Very easy to install!

    pqXoZCj.

Been chasing down water in the boot. I've fixed 99% of it now by sealing up the rear lights and bumper mounts if you wanna call it those. I do however have some water coming in which is coming from the boot seal, well from under it. I've added a very crude door weather strip I have laying around to help with it. I'll order a boot seal once Covid has died down a little or at least when Japan get back to normal with shipping.

    Luae3Sg.
    BTrtyaE.

I've swapped out the HKS springs which came with the car for some HSD 12K & 14K ones. Much better however I may go up a little in spring rates.
Message me if you want these springs, about 100 miles on them so basically brand new.
    Installed Garage D RCA also.

    u52901k.

    H99jilG.

    aEzxZDl.

TIP: Make sure they're FT! Put them on with some loctite just to be sure.

Here's a photo of it at my friends work who kindly does my tracking! (which I need going over since installing the lock stuff).

    tNsX1oP.

I also for fun made 2 Japanese flags which you'd normally see on presidential cars.. Little bracket bolts to a hole above the headlight, painted white with a metal rod.

    R1jQHUq.

Just want to say f**k this bolt on the lower arm holding the bracket for the coilover.

    ZzIHdsR.

Later found out you don't need to take it off to get the coilover out.

This is how the car currently sits

    QQfN0GP.

Fitted a bigger spacer to the front today. Rear arches need rolling, just haven't got round to doing it thus far as it keeps snowing and just generally being crap weather.

Next few things on the list:

Set of G Corp floor mats or something similar. I know a guy in Poland makes some nice ones for a good price.

Going to look at getting the rear subframe poly bushed and order a Kaaz 2 way SuperQ.
Garage D will probably be the ones I'll go to for this.

Been eyeing some ganador mirrors. Keep holding off because I've got someone who'll paint my body kit and roof spoiler however haven't seen him in months.

Ideally like to get some different wheels. Weds, SSR maybe even a set of Work VS KF's.

Have you checked your wing for a possible cause for the leak?

    I've checked and I can't see anything.
I'm 99% sure its the boot seal around one of the corners. I've put some sealant on it with no luck. Ordered a new boot seal from Jesse Streeter so fingers crossed it'll solve it.
