So a little update. Got the spoilers on the car.
    61C4C7B6-E203-439D-8FF5-102D95602442.

Looks shady as fuck but worked a treat.

Also i started going through a few little details.
    47143189-4996-42B6-A5C4-545585B985C8.

And other stupid things like. I got my interior lights working.
    0A1C50D2-B1F8-4F44-8E98-A72E98A4E9EF.

I can not tell you how happy i was to see that. Took ages to figure out the wiring.

Then for the first time i decided to actually clean a car properly.
    513985B2-AB6C-4514-BF70-FF1235613663.

    2 buckets and everything.

i was actually pretty pleased with the results. Especially considering the car hasnt been flatted and polished since paint. So this is just gun finish.
    40BA4666-D86E-4277-BD48-75609C313916.

So happy with how the car looks now.

    4A67FF26-84DD-463B-BA57-F15EAFB22EC3.

Also had the car with Adams s15. Just need to get all 3 cars together.
    D1A4C417-3AEB-42D7-807D-BCE7FEDC7A95.

    F9496AF1-0517-4F9A-B361-9A14D0D96E26.

Cars look pretty cool together. Cheers for your time guys.

Just read through this man. Top work. When you forgot to put the hardener in the primer... mate... I would have thrown a match in the unit and shut the door. Good on you for scraping it back and doing it all again, proper graft.

Ayeeeee thank man. I appreciate it. I’d like to point out it was not me that didn’t put the hardener in. It was my mate who was “helping”

as for the torching the gaff. I’ll be honest it crossed my mind every second of stripping it.

I have been following this for years, i remember hoping you wouldn't give up on it, especially when it went quiet for a bit. Love the build, it gives me inspiration to get my arse in gear and get on with mine.

Thanks man. There was many times i wanted to give up. If it wasn’t for my best mate constantly pushing me I would of too.

cars still here, weathers dog shit. And i dont have a unit anymore so until it warms up very little will be happening.

So i figure i should probably update you guys. Its been a while. Not a great deal has happened just a lot of small bits and things ready for when the weather changes and i can attack it in anger.

first thing that turned up was a fiberglass gtr grill. I’m still undecided on it at the moment. What do you guys think?
    A6BFDDA5-0283-4E57-93D5-EBF3D9D7F2B8.
    Obviously it needs painting

The next thing that’s happened is a new windscreen as mine cracked
    5B3CDA02-6CB3-4716-A2FB-8959FB6FBDE4.

Much better than the mosaic i was looking through.

The next project i undertook was an adapter to go from a greddy inlet to a 350z drive by wire throttle body.
    7EAAC541-B0C4-4CD1-9496-4BDEAB39A4DA.

    B6826E7E-B606-48AC-909A-C04AF30B77FB.

    which results in this
    27EF5E32-175B-4030-958F-898E47E226A1.

Its not all fitted up yet because i need to be able to
Drive the car back to mapping. I am also undecided if im going to use it as i may have a cheaper solution to my problems as i need an expansion loom for my link to run DBW.

On the subject of tuning. I have a cas replacement trigger kit coming so hopefully we can make the car that bit crisper and safer.

i also am replacing my cam covers because the -12 fitting i welded on the current ones interfere with my dmax bonnet.

My other project over winter has been interior based. Starting with these.
    3BC45450-2A64-4940-A6EF-846B145011E9.
    82DBC7C5-D89A-4349-A9AF-CBB2E273AEF1.

    Which has created this.
    669CE2C0-75CC-4086-B8BA-6C21278A902B.

A dramatically improved dash with brand new OE vents. The car also has gained a lovely new nardi which im thrilled with. However the improvements on the interior didn’t stop there. Next up was the door card issue. As you can see they look vile in the above picture and its always bugged me since the car was built. So i had a pair of stock door cards in my shed. I thought they were mint. They were not. So i took a grinder to them.
    821F5D42-56A8-4FBD-A224-D95E74785C1C.
    1F0D27DC-7276-4C3E-BF22-78C1B9E3A05F.
I still have to mount door speakers and im going to make a sheet metal panel for the bottom of the doors to tidy it up some more. However by total fluke. The way we placed the door bars we managed to retain all the important bits of a door card. Which im thrilled about. The end result is excellent and im so happy how its turned out.
    9A7F39EC-9B35-4301-948A-AC43D5A78EBC.
    D971D4A9-4509-4F52-80B2-19167C588025.

Just looks like such a nicer place to be.

The other project is a wheel refurb. The fronts polished up lovely.
    93AFAB7C-5A5F-4DAC-97C6-81676868AA78.

Whilst on the subject of fronts. Since i built them Ive always struggled to get them fitted up. Compared to front wheels that others reckon they have got to fit. So i had a measure up and when i got sent my lips, i got sent half an inch bigger than i ordered. So my wheels actually became 18x10.5 et-6 on the front. So thats why I’ve always struggled to get them on but they are on now and look sick.

The rears required a lot more work. So they got stripped down.
    174BE3BF-B7DD-4330-9FD2-12AE6122AC72.

The chrome was absolutely fucked. I got some quotes for polishing and chrome removal. Then the numbers made my bumhole hurt and the thought of having to polish those faces constantly to keep them nice upset me. So i took the shot blaster too them.
    DDF9359A-4B6D-47F6-BF26-6C00FFE77008.

and then dropped them off to have them powder coated.
    3D2A5535-2EE1-4E94-A2A8-34606396CF54.

Ive had them done a bright metallic silver and they honestly look like new. I know it’ll upset people ive not had them polished but let me do my thing. I promise they wont look dreadful. I dropped the lips off at the metal polisher the other day so now waiting for those to come back. But here is a before shot.
    260BF861-A273-4783-B096-86D4BD9D4E94.

One more thing to say, im considering swapping back from solid subframe bushes to poly, has anyone done this on their car? Just trying to make it a nicer place to be and bit less diff noise. If anyone has an experience of going back from solid to poly id love to hear it.

thanks for reading and sorry its been slow on the updates.
