    Drama happened.

In better news though, the exhaust was purchased from SRBROADY on here and is ready to go on.

sorry to hear about all the issues youve had mate but well done for sticking with it ive just read form start to finish and top job, sucks to hear about what ur mate did i'd go ape shit. but on another note i converted my old aristo to manual and had a similar problem with bleeding the clutch i stuck with it and was also using a mk4 supra master cylinder, i found if i adjusted the fixing to the pedal all the way out to increase travel it bled up straight away and got a much better pedal feel.

Its taken me a fair while to get motivated with this again due to past events but i finally started to work on it again this weekend.

so said before SRBROADY sold me a awesome stainless exhaust so saved me a hell of a lot of time making one from scratch.

Its sodding massive. I also cut out the cats and welded in some fresh stainless pipes, no pictures of that though as i just got on with it.

Im looking for a VSS so i can actually run the speedo so if anyone has one give me a shout before i buy one new.
    More updates next week.

Alright chaps and chapettes, i hope everyone had a good Christmas/holiday season and all that.

Work always shuts up for a fair amount of time over this season so i thought id crack on with the Soarer, as i left it in the last post the exhaust had turned up and was ready to go on. But first i had to sort out the rubbers that had perished on the back of the car. Toyota had been fairly sneaky with this and made it so you had to buy a whole bracket rather than just replacing a rubber, so i cut out the flared pin and put in one i made of brass.

    So painted the brackets.

    Put in the pins.

And installed the exhaust, it looks and sounds awesome. But thats 'in the unit' awesome. iv got a feeling its a little loud for road use but its a easy fix if it is.

Then i bought some 18 inch ultralights for the front, mainly because they were cheap. Cheers Ash.

Then i decided No V8 looked good without a gigantic cone filter that probably sucked in WAY too much air so bought the largest one i could find and started to make the adapter for the AFM.

    All sorted and installed.

Also for people who are following this to do there own conversion, i made a cock up in the angle of the shifter. When installed it works fine but if you put the manual gear gator on it'll hit the edge of that and maybe the ashtray infront.

So i took it back to work and cut it to more of a 90 degree angle and added some height, about 20mm more.

    Works perfectly.

Also i decided to make my own gear gator as i didnt really want to pay Toyota a fair bit of cash for a bit of cloth and plastic. So i took the auto shifter and cut a large rectangle out the same length as the auto shifter slot. I then used a black leather gator from a ford escort and made a rectangular bracket to sew into the bottom of the gaitor. Then i secured it into the plastic trim.

Works great but could have been neater with the cutting.

I then got back to getting the car down on off the stands, I got the new wheels wrapped in new rubber and put the 25mm spacers on from the Supra to see if they'd be big enough and let it down.

Not too shabby. All thats left to do now is adjust the clutch pedal, clean the mass amounts of over spray covering the entire car and take it for a drive.

Cheers dude, yeh i cant understand why they werent a factory option. Most parts used in this conversion are mainly Toyota so they had the parts bin.

Well its been a while, but i finally got on with sorting this out.

All i needed to do was adjust the clutch pedal which was relatively simple. I then got stuck in cleaning the mass amounts of over spray off the windows left to me by a nice character.

But i had to have a shuffle around with the cars in the unit so i got to take this out for abit.

It drove awesomely. Clutch engaged nicely and it pulled like a train. I ran it up and down a private stretch of road a few times and just couldn't get enough of it. I have no idea why Toyota never made one as a manual as a majority of the parts i used were already in the Toyota parts bin.

Well, the conversions now complete. Now i need to decide whether to keep it or sell it.

Its been a long time since i updated this but the car now looks a bit different.

Iv been working on this on and off for a while now but its technically been finished for a little over 6 months. I just wanted to address every little thing that i found wrong with the car.
I should be taking it for mot in the next couple of weeks but with the extent iv either replaced or checked things it should sail through.

These pictures were taken late last year but since then iv been working on my other cars so just forgot about this.

Ill update it soon with more progress pictures
