Does look clean. Did you get the block and head machined before fitting the mls gasket? They prefer a super clean surface for the best seal Fire ring surface looks a bit suspect on cylinder 4 head side. (bottom left of the pic) Can see that piston is noticeably cleaner so has to be water getting in there through a crack or the gasket.
I havent done anything, first time removing head. But previous owner said that it had new block and head in 2013
Be better to have the head fly cut by a machine shop, should really have the block done too for a perfect job. Not 100% necessary so long as your careful cleaning it and dont dig in at all
Head seems to be cut last rebuilt, and as long as its straight i wont machine it as closest chop is 400km away But will use a mild scotch brit and brake cleaner and try my best
Can anyone tell me if this is fine? Can se a small groove from the headgasket ring but dont know if thats a big deal {} {} {}
Is the head flat? Bit concerning that the groove is so deep between the cylinders and not consistent all the way
