Here’s my 1985 Toyota Celica Supra 2.8i ma61 project Engine setup so far 2.8ltr 5mge engine Toyota ct26 turbo set up With an r154 manual gearbox How I picked the car up And how the car now looks Needs abit of welding primer and paint and sort a few issue {} {} {} {} {}
So bit of an update Decided going to build in to more of a drift / track car All ready got plans on the go for roll cage and how I want it Picked up a fuel cell Sorting bucket seats All stock trim and cards and seats are going to a mate The stock wheels are coming off The green bonnet going to a mate for his white one as he got the original bonnet from this car and I have his Redoing all wiring and plumbing of the car And a lot more welding And sourcing fiberglass bootlid so will soon be a different car
Okay not done an update in along time as not touched the car really till recently Turns out my gearbox is w58 manual box Made a decent bootlid from two bad ones I picked up Brought an s13 rolling shell That was cut up for rear strut tops and knuckles for my coilover conversion And some decent patches for my mates s13 where his had rotted out Update is Cars now rolling on s13 coilovers all four corners Running z32 front callipers Engine , gearbox are in the car along with diff have measured for a drive shaft to be made Got to make a new down pipe for the turbo set up as hits steering rack / colum Got to make a new intake plenum Have welded a lot of the car up Put fuel cell in place at the moment Made a seat rail for my bucket seat Got a tone more work to do and a lot to change but cars finally getting there
So little update Done a lot to the car between some jobs , fuel cell rough mounted , on s13 coilovers all four corners on its own weight , changed rear strut tops and chopped up an s13 for them and to save another s13 , re done spindle insert , dropped engine box etc in to work out radiator fitment and how I want to run a few bits and what I need to change , made a new bootlid out of three rusty ones , custom side skirts and loads of other work but yeah quick update and some photos to show how the cars coming along {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {}
So not posted any updates in a while on this , yes still have it Currently sat waitting to be worked on Been moved around a few times since been out my workshop still got parts to make Cage to build Paint the car Replace missing ecu but currently on back burner so to speak got two other personal builds on the go Plus customer work and a few builds when I have anymore updates will post up {} {}

Well done for starting to rescue the Celica Supra, most would have been put off with the first impression It looks a lot better than when you started. Have you thought about what colour you want to paint the car? I look forward to seeing pictures of it in action one day. It'll be great to see something different on track. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so far so good just at moment not much gets done due to work and yes all ready got both colours of paint the cars will go picked out and made up , will be a Toyota oem kinda look , keeping red scene ie engine and bride zeta ii bucket seat
Oooooh sounds like a good combo. It'll be worth it in the end. Good things come to those who wait plus there's job satisfaction doing work on other people's cars.

Quick question. Your s13 front coilover setup to the ma61 knuckle looks interesting. Did you ever get it on the car and working? How was it?
I had no idea that it was even possible to do something with a car in such poor condition. Anyway, great job!
