a mate just recieved his new turbo. its a brand new turbo build in 1986 from BMW F1. the old F1 cars were running about 1.000 bhp with only 1,5l-engines, so my mate thought this tubby will be fine for his 3,0 Supra engine. P I C 1 P I C 2 the F1-Turbo next to a standart S14-turbo: Martin
Awesome, F1 turbo stuff is great. My GT60s a little bigger mind, considering thats a T4 next to it which in itself is twice as big as the GT28 in your pic (and its rated to night on 2000bhp, lol) {}
haha, toooo big nothing for me on what engine are you going to put your GT60s? full boost at 7500rpm? but its always amazing to see turbos like this running. how much is one of those GT60s? i thought even the BMW F1-tubby will be very expensive, but 2000 Euros are okay i think. Not shure, but i think T51R´s and T88´s are more expensive? Martin
the f1 turbo looks exactly like the turbos i fit to the renault trucks i work on! all kkk with same housings and they cost £400 sterling!!! massive tubbys though!!!
there is a label on it with BMW F1 and build in 1986 on the turbo and some more numbers i don´t know. Martin
with a T4 you may suck up little animals with a T51R you suck up little children up to 5 year olds... but with the GT60 you suck up full grown adults!
I paid under 200quid and its unused. The guy didnt realise what he had. A quick google search shows GT60s costing over 4500 dollars.
