So much time I haven't been here!!! I'm sorry, I didn't have the time My project is on its way, and what way June 2007 New oil pump/front cover + new water pump September 2007 My rocker cover almost finished And the beginning of the installation of my oil cooler It would be something like that October 2007 My Brian Crower valve springs and titanium retainers + ARP head and main bolts And the real work can begin right now
Here is the thread who’s getting me hot !!! At the beginning, I didn’t want to take out the engine, I just wanted to take out the head. But I started to defuse the engine, and I couldn’t stop myself, so I took out the engine! EGR, easy to remove Nismo engine mounts Stock clutch, good condition ! And the flywheel is like a new one !!! I painted some parts Miss head A brand new rocker (my head was already done… I don’t know if it’s a good sign or not...) All rockers and camshafts A little house for hydrolic lifters Good night lifters Beurk… The 2 flywheel bolts whose posed me a big problem !!! My little thing to take out valves On your left, the shim that I found in the oil pan. On your right, a piece of a gear found in my gear-box... One of mine conrod bearing
On the 1st conrod, it’s pretty good ! on the 2nd, it’s dead! And on the 2 others, there are not bad. The worst Little pics of the landscape Valve stem seals The engine on the « engine stand » A little more shiny The stock head gasket size after taking out the head Valve springs My poor head Now, I will change the valve stems seals
What time is it ?? Plastigage How can I change my title ?? I tried to edit my 1st post, but I couldn't... Yeah, now I'm 17, I have to change the title
hey...! what an amazing project!!!! cool! all done by yourself! thats good! the title..there should be a possibility to do that in the first post...but i dunno why you cant... adam
Wicked project, fair play to you! Are you a gangster, drug dealer? Where do you get all your $$$$$$$$$ from?! I can just about afford to run mine
Nice work, its good that you at least have the time and money to do some of this stuff haha. Hope you get it running fast
Thanks I thing the headwork would be too long for this head, I already had a broken rocker arm that the old owner changed, but it was rebuilt like he took everything in his hands, he shaked it, and he re-assembled it I found a shim in the oil pan, the broken rocker arm was the 2nd on the exhaust side, the new one was the 1st on the same side So, after all that things, I think to buy a better head (and something young like 50 000km). I have to buy some camshafts, HKS 256° IN and 264° EX, but stage 1 or 2 ???? Because a friend told me he took one lap in the white ProDrift S15 at the Paris Tuning Show 2007, and it was like a taxi to 4/5 000 RPM, and after, it was no limit for the cluster I don't know exactly what turbo I will buy (between a used HKS GT2540 from JPS-Trading, a brand new TD06-20G in T28 core or a Garrett GT3071R, depends of my bank account ), I think to buy stage 2 cams, but if it's really like ON-OFF, I don't know if I really would like it. And maybe some other mods bigger throttle body, maybe a surge tank, GReddy oil pan, lighter pulleys, and some other little bits
He must have big tits if he's working for the sun. Can I ask why you are going for a cam that is 8 degs longer on the exhaust than the inlet?
yea i think it must b generous parents partly! but fair play! this thing is gonna b a beast when its all put together! just dont spank it when it does!!!!
My poor head... a lot of friends have the same problem with cam journals, and only on the exhaust side!!! Maybe it's too hot or there is a bad lubrification ???? There are links because pics are too big to be posted ;-) and I wan that some of you interrested by this can see them in high resolution ;-) http://supra-man.neuf.fr/Ma S14/culasse/PA300572.JPG http://supra-man.neuf.fr/Ma S14/culasse/PA300590.JPG http://supra-man.neuf.fr/Ma S14/culasse/PA300591.JPG http://supra-man.neuf.fr/Ma S14/culasse/PA300592.JPG http://supra-man.neuf.fr/Ma S14/culasse/PA300593.JPG http://supra-man.neuf.fr/Ma S14/culasse/PA300594.JPG http://supra-man.neuf.fr/Ma S14/culasse/PA300595.JPG http://supra-man.neuf.fr/Ma S14/culasse/PA300596.JPG http://supra-man.neuf.fr/Ma S14/culasse/PA300597.JPG http://supra-man.neuf.fr/Ma S14/culasse/PA300598.JPG http://supra-man.neuf.fr/Ma S14/culasse/PA300599.JPG http://supra-man.neuf.fr/Ma S14/culasse/PB010657.JPG
