Hi all, Update from Knockhill live from the track, Last nights 1hr open practise : Declan Hicks was the man on the money with massive entry speeds and faultless runs, his car giving Bons car a run for its money as a smoke machine Also showing awesome speed and massive improvement as N.I's Paul Conlan urned up his personal pace. Qualifying this morning : The top 6 finishers from Round 1 had automatic qualy places for Rnd 2 so they didnt need to qualify ( although they still ran in Qualy as extra practise ). OUTSIDE the seeded top 6, the qualifying drivers were as follows : Mike Gaynor ( BDC Wildcard entry WELL DONE Mike!!! ) 90 points Peter Barber 85 points Paul Smith 85 points Paul Conlan 85 points Kieran Cameron 83 points Tim Marshall 81 points James Russell 81 points James Grimsey 75 points Scott Armstrong 70 points Declan Hicks 5 points ( clutch failure ) Big contrats to Mike for his qualifying position in his BMW ( is actual result would be 7th Qauly without the seeded system ), he is matching entry speeds of most of the regular EDC drivers and everyone is looking forward to the opportunity to twin with him this afternoon. Declans in the middle of welding his clutch so he can go back out, everyones helping him out so fingers crossed..... The seeded drivers also in attendance are : Brett Castle Ben Broke Smith Mark Luney Daniel Eyles Maciej Polody Alan McCord Just spoke to Sleepy to ask how the guys ran in Qualy although he didnt score them, he said the top 3 Qaulifiers would have been: 1st Mark Luney 2nd Ben Broke Smith 3rd Brett Castle These positions not count in official results, just a reference as to who's on it this weekend. Ben Broke Smith also recorded the highest entry speed at 94mph and closely followed by Mark Luney's 92mph!! Not one of the cars i under 75mph entry into the fist corner ( measured and corrected speeds! ) So, the top 16 this afternoon looks like this : Brett Castle vs. Declan Hicks Alan McCord vs. Paul Conlan Maciej Polody vs. James Russell Mike Gaynor vs. Tim 'the chin' Marshall Ben Broke Smith 'Bon' vs. James Grimsey Peter Barber vs. Daniel Eyles Paul Smith vs. Kieran Cameron Mark '5th gear' Luney vs. Scott Armstrong Will update the nes after the top 8 hopefully.
